If I could honestly give him a 10 I would, he's just that good! Today was my last appt with him after 4 years. I drove 2 hours to see him because he was worth it. He truly cared and made me better. Well on that 2 hour drive home, I cried 90 % of it home. I had been to many Drs prior to him with very little help. I came to him as a pretty broken person. He took the time necessary to meet my needs and get me back on track. He did it with kindness, compassion and understanding. He explained every medication, the good and bad then WE made the decision to try it. Yes I said WE, your opinion actually means something to him and I find that simply amazing! He went out of his way several times to explain certain things to my 17 year old son so he would understand and not be afraid. He didn't just explain the medications, he actually took the time out to get to know my son and they talked about basketball. That warmed my heart, that right there proves he goes beyond his duties and really cares… for people. He made such an impression on my son that he got him a going away gift. He's truly the best Dr in my opinion! I wish him the very best on his new journey in life.

Dr. Mercado has proved that there is hope for me and my diagnosis. He is very responsive when issues arise. Very direct, trustworthy, nice guy. I recommend him 100%

Do you accept wellcare?

This doctor has an awful beside manner. He shoots questions at you as if you were in the Spanish inquisition. He does not give you time to answer. He does not believe what you tell him and accuses you of lying when asked a question. He leaves you w/o the proper medications to help you when you are going off one med to another. He does not believe in sleeping meds even though you cannot sleep for nights on end. He treats a patient with no respect and no dignity. He believes that you are stupid and does not give you anytime to build trust before he asks the most personal questions that one would only tell a respected and trusted doctor. I have never had an experience like this one. He works at a clinic and I guess that shows clinics get the bottom of the barrel shrinks to treat people.
