Run don’t walk away from this MD. Quality surgeon at Hoag Newport stated the reason my bowel resection had to be repeated with radical loss of colon was Dr. Moro did not use robotic technique to insure good blood perfusion and the portion of my colon he reconnected atrophied due to blood loss

The front office staff is horrible, i won't go back. Barbara and Nancy are very lazy and rude!

I have to say Dr. Moro is extremely knowledgeable and willing to answer any question you may have. From my diagnosis to my resection was 2 weeks and he made me feel confident in his abilities. He has been compassionate and encouraging in each of my follow up visits. I would have to agree with part of the office staff description, ONE, and only one of the front staff I would describe as disorganized, easily confused and a bit scattered. The others are GREAT, both in person and on the fun.

Dr Moro was extremely rude and unprofessional at my appt. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone. He think he knows everything and he does not. He seemed like he has a temper and he always has to be right. Not a doctor I would trust.

We liked Dr. Moro but his office staff isn't doing him any favors. I called in to see what dates he had available for a procedure he recommended for my husband and the receptionist made me feel as if I were asking stupid questions. Makes me want to see someone else.

After having bowel resection surgery and being 2 months out, I still wonder exactly what he did surgically. he is a man of NO words, he doesn't want to bother with your post op care, just the cutting part. Now at 2 months something has gone wrong and I'm looking at another surgery quite possibly a colostomy. I can guarantee you, I will be going to a new surgeon who actually cares.

Surprised at the good reviews..I can't help to question if these reviews are filtered. Staff was unorganized and seemed rude over the phone even to other patients, not just what I felt. I heard it myself on more than a few occassions. Ease of appointments: as long as your flexible with their schedule Promptness: No Courteous staff: In office, yes. Over phone, no. In office always seemed unorganized and scatter-brained. Accurate diagnosis: Yes Bedside manner: Doctor: Excellent Spends time with me: Doctor: Excellent Follows up after visit: No follow up Wait time: I have never-ever been in that office when people were seen within 5 minutes! My average wait time was 40 minutes.

I was referred to Dr. Moro by my primary doctor because Dr. Moro had actually performed surgery on my primary doctor. I was in need of a Pilonidal Cyst surgery. After freaking myself out by reading about horror stories online, it was time for my appointment with Dr. Moro. When I walked in the two women working the front were super friendly and prompt. Dr. Moro is extremely educated and it is easy to tell. I have never had a doctor be more clear and straight to the point which was awesome. He laid out the two options that I had for surgery drawing pictures and giving me and extremely detailed explanation of my options. I decided to get the cyst completely removed and go for the surgery. Best decision I have ever made. It has been a month and a half since surgery and I am starting to get close to 100% already. I was even able to participate in a slowpitch softball game with no problems! All in all, I would say that you will not find a more dedicated, knowledgeable doctor in… this field.

Dr. Moro is fantastic. Great surgeon, compassionate, and has a wonderful bedside manner. He really takes time explaining things so the patient has a good understanding, which is very important and appreciated.
