Dr. George Joseph Murillo, MD

I have been going to Dr. Murillo for 2 yrs now and have never had an issues except for the wait time. I have to pay $110 for a visit just to refill my medication. Other doctors in the past have had me just come by and pick my prescription at the window, not this one. They want that money! Today I went in and was treated like complete crap by the new receptionist. I didn't get her name but she was a heavy set lady. She is the rudest person I have come across in a while. 2 other patients that went before me said the same thing. When we brought it up to the Doctors, all they did was blow it off and say she was new. That is no excuse for snapping at customers. If she worked for me, she would have been out the door by lunch. I am looking to Change doctors closer to home. I didn't want to but today sealed the deal!

I am blessed to be cared for by Dr. Murillo, Dollie (PA), and the wonderful Staff. Over a 20+ year relationship with Dr. Murillo, I can truly say that I am so grateful that I can keep my doctor. Dr. Murillo is a professional, who truly cares for his patients and will not be limited in the time he spends with you. Understand in today's medical world its in and out with today's physicians due to government bureaucracy but Dr. Murillo's office maintains a personal atmosphere of genuine care, accurate diagnosis in an extremely courteous environment. My relationship with Dr. Murillo, Dollie and the entire staff has been a rewarding one that I cherish every time I visit his office. If you need an excellent physician, one who cares and one you can trust with a lifetime of experience, I suggest strongly that you should begin your health relationship with Dr. Murillo and his staff immediately

Have been a patient here for over 12 years and would never leave his care. I see the nurse practitioner most of the time and am very pleased

I have been a patient of Dr. Murrillo's for over 26 years. The nurses are not only courteous, understanding, they are compassionate. PA Dollie also poses these qualities. Is there a wait time sometimes? Sure, but remember he is giving the same time and listening to a patient just as he would give to you. Worth any wait time.

He is always concerned about past and present issues.

The doctor isn't bad but charges too much . The receptionist that they have is absolutely horrible!!! I wouldn't recommend them to anyone just based on the the poor attitudes behind the window

Been going to him for a very long time , My whole family he is a good Dr. I hated leaving his office but the staff is not courteous to patients, they tend to talk about their patients while patient is in room, not funny at all I have never been to a Dr. where the staff is inconsiderate towards feelings of patients. I wonder what dr. thinks of this. The wait times are so long. 2-4 hr.

He's a compassionate, knowledgeable, thorough physician. He goes above and beyond standard treatment and is genimually concerned with you as a person. There is not a bad word to say about him as a doctor as well as an individual. !

I had great difficulty with Dr. Murillo's nurse, Patty Hill. I was prescribed a medication that required Dr. Authorization before insurance would cover it. She was the person who allegedly handles such requests. Anytime I called she was curt with me and acted as though I was "bothering" her. She told me I needed to , "Call my insurance myself because sometimes we can do things they cannot". This makes absolute no sense since they were wanting to hear from the DR and not ME about getting pre-authorization. She also lied and told me she had spoken to my insurance and they said "NO". I was able to verify she had not contacted my insurance at all. Had she done so a case number would have been generated. When I conferenced her in on a phone call WITH my insurance company on the phone she flat out refused to answer the questions which were necessary to get me approved. Mind you--this medication WAS covered by my insurance. It wasn't a matter of whether they would cover it--It was… whether they would cover it for ME. The information in my file should have had the information she needed to get me covered. I sent a certified, registered letter to their office and never got a reply back from Dr. Murillo or his PA, Heather Citro. I feel certain Patty intercepted the letter before the Dr. got to read it. Surely a long-term, well respected physician would like to know how his staff is treating people. And, based on my experience with her--and others I know that have had similar situations--it would make sense she wouldn't want her employer finding out how she treats patients and destroy the letter. Needless to say--that was my first---and last visit.

The staff is not very friendly but the lady working the reception desk was downright rude. The Dr. himself was not very professional and gave me the creeps.
