(Work Comp carrier) *Warning regarding CIGA below and on Google Maps review - a must read.* *OP1 pictures on Google Maps review - A must see.* In need of another back surgery with a severe bilateral disc bulge and a mess called OP1 put in my back as a re-fusion (see pics on Google Maps review) I was sent to Dr. Picetti by the Work Comp carrier CIGA. After many tests which showed that the surgery was necessary and his long time assistant stating that I need a surgery, I finally saw Dr. Picetti. I finally had a chance to discuss the OP1 mess in my lumbar spine with him, so I thought. Dr. Picetti went over the tests with me and stated 'a surgery is medically necessary'. Then it came to the OP1 issue and Dr. Picetti would not discuss it or even request new images. I insisted then he angerly stated that the OP1 was a solid fusion and left the room. When the final report was done Dr. Picetti states that the surgery would not help and… no mention of the OP1 mess. Come to find out that the surgeon who put the OP1 in my back is his friend and colleague Dr. Gary Schneiderman. The reason he stated different from what the tests show is because CIGA didn't want to pay for another surgery or have the OP1 addressed. The next surgeon I saw, with private insurance, rushed me into surgery. See pics of the OP1 in Google Maps review. That's just my opinion.

Great surgeon but bad on post op.

Dr Picetti is by far the best at what he does. As a medical practioner i had advise from several colleagues. I had seven physician interviews from La Jolla to Sacramento. Hands down the moment I met him I knew he would be the surgeon for me. He was meticulous in his preop work up, there were no surprises in surgery and his gentle demeanor gave me a 100% confidence in him. The moment I took my first step in the ICU I knew I was better. Before there was not enough pain medication to make a dent in my pain today I rarely have to take medication. He saved my quality of life I could not say enough good about him

I would recommend mr picetti for any spinal problems he is a excellent dr.everyones recovery is different but my fusion was done and my movement is incredibly great for a fusion its almost like I didn't have surgery. Very good dr and staff thank you sir, Chris g.

I had major back surgery in 2014. He's is so knowledgeable I recently had an accident radiologist said there was nothing wrong with my back. I knew there was so I called to ask if he could look at the X-ray sure enough fracture at t10 and swelling at s1. Thanks Doc

I have titanium screws and an appliance in my lower back from a fusion performed by Dr. Picetti. My back is not perfect but I'm grateful that I can do a desk job 40 hrs per week. I was limping and had severe pain prior to the surgery. I'm a lot better now.

Dr. Picetti was recommended by a physician unable to help. Dr. Picetti was very professional. He explained what he planed to do and appeared very confident. The surgery went as explained. Dr. Picetti was attentive and through throughout the entire hospitalization. I would give Dr. Picetti my highest recommendation.
