Dr. George William Wood, MD

After a serious motorcycle crash sent me to the Med with many injuries including a smashed elbow. I was blessed to have Dr. Wood as my trauma surgeon. My left elbow and arm joints were crushed, but Dr.Wood masterfully rebuilt it using pins, screws and titanium. He was very honest with the facts that I might never regain use or full use of it. After a considerable time with his guidance and a remarkable PT staff with Campbell Clinic, I regained full use but for a few inches lost in length. Unnoticeable but to me. That was in 2002, and I have never had any pain or discomfort that would remind me of my injuries. I truly believe he was the only Doctor that could have save the the use of my arm. Dr Wood was the first doctor I ever saw at Campbells clinic after hours . I had gone to the regular dr the day before. They did an exam told me it was swollen but not broken and that they thought I had carpel tunnel and to get a brace from Walgreens. Then I asked the dr what am I going to do for the pain and said take some Advil. Keep in mind I had been taking Advil and it wasn't working. I left out of the dr office thinking what a waste of time and money. So I went to Walgreens after work and the pharmacist says it doesn't sound like carpel tunnel to me but I'm no md he suggest I go to Campbells clinic after hours. This was on a Tuesday so I decided to go the next day after work . I walked in to a very kind receptionist and she ask What's wrong I told her and she says the after hours dr is a hand specialist and I said praise God. That was the first time I met Dr Wood he was pleasant and kind. Tears rolled down my eyes and I proceeded to tell him my problem he ordered an X-ray… and came back in and says it was swollen and started asking me questions about my health. He began to start these little test on my hand asking me wear it hurts and what was it doing and before I told him he says I know what's wrong I feel it and it isn't carpel tunnel. He says you have trigger finger and I said huh. He says this huge name but he says trigger finger is a term they use to describe it. I must say l was quite amazed with him!!!! He was very patient and that's what I love. I want to thank Dr Wood for his expertise in what he does best

I visited Dr. Wood three times and he is a very hateful doctor. Not concerned about his patient condition.
