Dr. Gerald Marc Segal, MD

I was referred to Dr. Segal by my GP (internist). I had been sick for months and was losing weight; I had seen a couple of specialists who weren't sure what to do, and I had quite a few tests. Dr. Segal was very kind and insightful; he said "You need to go to the ER now, one kidney isn't working and the other is working at very low capacity" and he offered to DRIVE me to the ER himself! Ultimately he instead paid for a Lyft to take me there, and I was admitted, and I stayed four nights. I am much better now. He wasn't just smart and caring, he was informative and hands-on (my internist says Dr.Segal is his hero). I didn't, technically, need an oncologist but I am so glad I ended up with this doctor. He is really wonderful

I'd known of Dr. Gerald Segal by his reputation for years before I met him as my Dad's oncologist. I have a dear friend who we shyly assume is cured of a blood cancer considered incurable, and she has been under Dr. Segal's care for the last decade, about the last 4 years without any treatment other than his careful watchfulness. When my father was referred to him, I had my first chance to see in person why Dr. Segal is so loved by his patients. He is extremely thorough and focused, and he had just the right tone with my crotchety old father, who to all appearances was having a marvelous time at the appointment. If you are one of his patient's you will appreciate his clear communication and his polite demeanor. Thank you Dr. S.
