Dr. Gerald Edward Trimble, MD

No problem with Dr. Trimble, in fact, I like him and rated him 5-STAR. However, you can never get through when calling. I need to cancel my app't t for tomorrow. I left message at 10:30, no call back. I keep calling and it rings forever & then goes to the message unit. I give up and this will have to serve as my notification of cancellation. Dolores Foley

I have been a patient for several years on and off. I have 4 fusions in my lower back with an erector set. He has performed epidurals, radio frequency ablation, and spinal cord stimulator placement. I leave his office with confidence and pain relief with little or no oral medication.

As I write this review today I am still being billed for a back brace that was ordered by this office for me without my consent. This seems to be the standard practice for this office to put people through unnecessary injections and order durable medical devices for every patient regardless of their diagnosis. I have bursitis on both hips and I cannot wear the type of back brace that was ordered for me without my consent. My insurance company would not pay for this so it became a part of my deductible. The back brace costs $550.00. I fought this charge with West Florida Pain Management and it now sits on my credit report. I am 60 years old and I live on SSDI I felt duped by this practice and I want to warn others about the fraudulent practices this office engages in. This office also had me endure painful epidural injections (numerous). I had no relief from the injections but they kept giving them to me! This practice of giving countless injections is another way this company can bill… your insurance for tens of thousands of dollars and continue to get away with it. I have no other recourse but to hire an attorney to deal with the fraudulent charges for a back brace I did not consent to nor wear because of my condition. I told them to return the brace and they said “we can’t do that “ but they would rather hold your credit hostage for years and years! I say where are my rights as a patient? When the patient has no say in their treatment plan. I recommend staying as far away from this doctor as possible !

I'm a thankful patient of Dr Trimble. He helped me get out of a great deal of pain last year! I'm now anxiously waiting for my next appointment to see him so he can help relieve another area of back pain I'm experiencing. He did such a great job reliving my pain in my middle back, I can't wait for him to operate on my neck area which even pain meds don't help! He succeeded with surgery where everything else failed. He made my life better!

I wish I had met with Dr. Trimble sooner for two reasons. The first reason is that I was in so much pain I could not function before I met with Dr. Trimble. I missed work because the pain was so great. Then, I went to work but I became exhausted because pain kept me from sleeping. Dr. Trimble addressed the pain so that I could sleep, go to work, and engage in my everyday activities. I felt so relieved knowing I could control the pain instead of the pain controlling me. The night after my appointment I fell into the first deep sleep in a long time. The second reason I appreciated Dr. Trimble is that he took the time to explain what was wrong with me and why I felt the pain I was feeling. This was important for me. I thought my general back pain was distinct from my spine pain. After Dr. Trimble explained what was going on I gained a more comprehensive understanding of my health status. The reassurance that the pain was controllable was invaluable. I experienced tremendous relief and I… am so very grateful for that.

My life changed drastically the day I saw Dr Trimble for the first and only time. I was given a cervical epidural. This doctor failed to do the necessary routine staging, medical and diagnostic workup. Instead Dr Trimble knowingly went for a very high risk intervention. I was not given the option of a less invasive procedure. The risks of a cervical epidural are very serious. As a result of his haste and incompetence I sustained a traumatic spinal cord injury. I wish that I had gotten a second opinion or that someone had warned me before I saw this doctor
