Dr. Gerald Allen Whitmire, MD

I’m 36 weeks 4 days I’ve been under his care since 19 weeks. This Dr is so understanding and calm. His spirit is like no other. This is my first child and he allows me to vent and he listens whenever I call he answers he deal w all my hormonal moods and even makes me laugh ... I am truly blessed to have him as my obgyn . I have been a patient for many years. Dr. Whitmire and staff are awesome. He's delivered 4 of my children. No problems whatsoever. And Dr. Whitmires assistant Ms. Michelle us so sweet. Very polite. Very pretty. Also very respectful. I have referred now about 15 people. About to send another. Dr. Whitmire and Ms. Michelle keep on keeping on and doing whatcha doing.

He's a very good physician but the front desk lady does not do her job as far as calling patient's back with information and always says the same excuse when you do call.

Dr. Whitmire have delivered four of my children and he has always been a caring and supportive doctor. On my 5th baby my husband wanted me to see a doc closer to home were we instantly saw the lack of concern from that other doc who informed us our baby was not going to make it and I should not be sad since I had other children. I did have a miscarriage and the dig was heartless. Quickly returned to Dr. Whitmire Wei eased my pain and advised us that he could help us carry to term. I have since had a wonderful pregnancy. Later I had tumors twice one in 2010 & 2014. He took care of me, listened to concerns and assured me I did not have to have a hysterectomy unless I wanted one when my other doc told me I had no other options. He removed the tumor and I am doing great. I live this doctor who truly care's for his patience. I will continue to travel to see him for all my medical care. I truly thank you Dr. Gerald Whitmire for being who you are. I have been with this doc for 24 years.

Dr. Whimire is a great doctor i had four kids and he was my dr. with all of them , he knew i was scared and he made sure that i was ok, he always have that smile on his face that let you know that you will be fine, i trust no other dr but dr. whitmire, he is not with my ins. group so i pay for my visits.

I am a current patient and he seems to do a very good job to me. Any time i ask him something he explains it to me. The nurse could use a little be more csr training but she is nice. I dont know abt the person who posted the last comment but i so far i havent seen anyone complain or act a fool. Everybody i asked about this doctor had good remarks about him.

the doc's very mannerable and attentive. but the the receptionist needs to do her job smoother.its like pulling teeth for her to return calls,schedule appts,or anything.you have to constantly remind her.im sorry but the one bad apple spoiled the bunch and she is very well making it a headache for me to go to my appts.as far as dr.whitmire, he could spend a little more time with us patients.he never explains anything! its pretty much,everything looks good, youre good to go, see you next month,any questions? gosh !!!hows the baby? how many pounds is he/she? does my u/s look normal? slow dowwwwnnnn !! just a few suggestions. other than that, love him. :)
