Dr. Gerson Marc Sternstein

Dr. S was my doctor for many years. He suggested alternative remedies such as accupuncture and water exercise. Probably would not be here if not for his care. The worst part of my treatment was when his office called last year when all of the legal issues started - and told me that I could no longer receive treatment.

Excellent doctor does not perscribe or recommend mind altering drugs per my appt w/him. He even acknowledges the very fact that these mind altering drugs can be very dangerous especially w/someone who may have other medical issues. Do not belive everything you read in the paper . These individuals had to have other drug addictions. Dr. Sternstein is an excellent doctor and well respected. Justice will prevail for him.

I have never been to a more knowledgeable physician in his field. I believe he can tell how your medication is working just by watching your body mannerisms. I was referred by my Primary Care Physician, she spoke so highly of him knowing how critical I am about my selection of specialized physicians for myself and my family. All I can say is, she was spot on!

he's helped me considerably, i'd still be bed-ridden and a NON FUNTIONING 40ish yr old female without his knowledge,understanding and patience. before he accepted me as a patience i lost my job with the State of CT (obsessive absenteeism. . Cronic Migraines) my husband divorce me ( i was left to raise 3 kids by myself one was less then a year old) I am DEATHLY allergic to all asprin and anything containing tylenol. throughout 13 years of seeing doctors and taking every kind of medication i actually could (with nothing working) a friend suggested Dr. Sternstein. so for the last 12 years I've been a totally functioning human again ( even went back to school to get my RN !!!) until. . . this UNJUST suspension, now i've BACK PEDDLED 13 years bed ridden with NO releive. I've seriously considered ending it all the pain is . . . there are no words??? if someone has a suggestion ? but who ? when and most of all what about us 900 patients, mostly who did NOTHING WRONG why why why are we… the ones suffereing? also i'd like to comment on a "rating" i just read in this collum ("of course all his pt.s love him- he gives them narcotics") WRONG my first 3years were everything but. . and it/he did wonders until my 3 car accidents and neck/spinal injuries, it was GREAT while it lasted my relief was at a 90% level now my pain level is at 98% God Bless you all,

Without Dr. Sternstein's care I would be in constant pain. Through trial and error we have found the best treatment for me. I feel very fortunate to have him as my doctor.

Dr. Sternstein and his staff are wonderful, caring and compassionate.He took care of my husband when nobody else would. My husband was involved in a car accident and injured his knee very badly. Because of other issues,he was told to live with the pain. Because of Dr. Sternstein he was able to live a much better life. He was able to watch his kids play sports and do normal things such as shopping, ect. Notonly did he take care of my husband, he helped me cope with a disabled husband, 2 teens,and a job. Thank you Dr. Sternstein and J. for your time, compassion and your understanding!!

Dr. Sternstein, takes the time to educate me on all my questions and concerns, always avalible for follow up questions, i would recommend him highly.

Dr Sternstein is an excellent Dr and what happened is nothing but ridiculous, this man saves lives. I have debilitating MS and was sure to be in a wheel chair until I starting seeing Dr.S, because of him I am still walking and living a normal life. As for over prescribing medication that is a fairy tale, the DEA needs to take into account each and every case on an individual basis. The size of the person, how much pain they are in, how long they have been on the medication, etc. Dr S makes sure his patients are taking their medication by testing and if he does have doubts he handles them correctly. What has happened is totally uncalled for and should be against the law. This man is helping so many people to enjoy their lives pain free and now these same people are in a very bad situation. It's disgusting what these patients are being put through right now. There should be more Dr's out there like Dr S who give people back the quality of life that they deserve.

This man saved my life! This man is a knight who bravely battles the dragon we call chronic pain. Thanks to him, I am able to have a life, where before, I knew only misery. What happened yesterday is about a crime, but that crime was not committed by Dr.S. It was committed by the state. They are causing hundreds to suffer because of a few bad apples who haven't even been proven to be bad. So many people, myself included, have said that they were going to take their own lives to escape their excruciating pain when Dr. Sternstein stepped in and saved them. What do you think will happen to these people now? Of course he prescribes a lot of narcotics! Hello! He's a PAIN SPECIALIST!!! He is a specialist in not only pain medicine, but psychiatry and addiction medicine. Anyone lucky enough to be his patient could not be in better hands. And "no", he does not prescribe only narcotics. He is well informed on a variety of chronic pain conditions and prescribes other meds and intensive counseling… to help his patients deal with the tragedies that have befallen them. Some patients aren't on narcotics at all. He knows a liar when he sees one. I have seen him laugh people out of his office who were there only because they thought they had found a "Dr. Feelgood." He doesn't just pass out pills like candy. You actually have to be in pain. You have to pee in a cup to prove you're actually taking your meds. People looking for pills to sell won't get any from him, I assure you. The ignorant few in power have looked only at the surface of things and made uninformed, spiteful judgments of Dr.S and his patients. He has saved me and many others, from a life of excruciating, unrelenting pain. This man performs miracles in my life. I know that I would not be here today without him. His devotion to his patients and his determination to help them in the face of harassment like this speaks volumes about his character and his unending compassion. His patients are not good-for-nothing junkies. They are sick people who bravely soldier on in spite of their agony. They deserve help. They do not deserve to suffer. If only those judging him could walk in our shoes. I am so tired of hearing about people who take their own lives because their doctors are too afraid of the DEA to give them the humane treatment they so desperately need and deserve. People with terminal cancer are made to suffer because those in authority stick their noses where they don't belong. I sincerely hope these people fall victim to a painful illness like mine. I hope they suffer the torture that we do. I hope they go to a doctor for help and are turned away. I hope their doctors tell them "I'd love to give you the help you so obviously need, but I don't want to have my license taken away." Most doctors would fold in the face of this kind of witch hunt. I pray that Dr. Sternstein holds his head high and continues to do what is right. He has nothing to be ashamed of and so much to be proud of. If the ignorant authorities have their way, hundreds of lives will be ruined and many people will die. Dr. Sternstein deserves our respect and gratitude. He does not deserve this! Thank you Dr. Sternstein. Thank you for sparing me the unrelenting torture that I used to suffer. Thank you for saving my life! Please, please don't give up!!!
