Dr. Gilbert Perkins Klemann, MD

I was referred by my primary care physician to Dr. Gilbert P Klemann at the Oregon Clinic. When i arrived for my appointment the reception said they had called me to try to reschedule my appointment but did not leave a message and that she had to reschedule me for another visit on a different day. Not wanting to wait another month to see Dr. Klemann she offered to schedule me with Dr. Da David Jiang. A few weeks later I arrived to see Dr. Jiang, the reason for my visit was due to a high PSA, we had a conversation about it and he schedule me for some lab work. I then told him I was interested in getting a vasectomy, he first acted shocked then he proceeded to tell me about all the side effects of the procedure which I understood and weren’t a concern. I went home, thought about it then decided I wanted a second opinion, not thinking it would be an issue, I scheduled with Dr. Klemann who was the original physician I was referred to by my primary care doctor. I arrived for my… appointment with Dr. Klemann, he read my file and noticed that my reason for visit was something I had spoken to Dr. Jiang about. He took me to Dr. Jiang office and asked me if I had consulted with Dr. Jiang about this and I said yes and that I wanted a second opinion. He then took me to his office and we had a good conversation and the consult went well. After my visit I called the office 5 separate times to schedule a procedure, the first two times they said they would call me back but no one did and the other three times I left a voicemail and no one called me back. I don’t know why they haven’t called me back but it left me wondering if the physician found it insulting when you seek a second opinion from their partner or it’s against some etiquette that I am unaware of. Whatever the reason is, I felt like I had to take time to write and share this information. Finding another urologist isn’t an issue but I owe it to myself and everyone else to share my story about Dr. Jiang, Dr. Klemann and the Oregon Clinic.

I cannot say enough good stuff about Dr. Kleeman. He diagnosed my prostate issue a number years back and helped me overcome the issue and told me there is no longer a need for any follow up visits unless something goes awry. He walked me through the newer REZUM procedure and it worked!! Don Mills

Best uroligist I have ever had

had a surgery for my prostate removed with cancer also bladder stones removed at the same time. the Doctor did an outstanding job I'm feeling better than I have in years. I would highly recommend this doctor anyone looking to have this procedure done.

The procedure itself was completely painless outside of a couple very minor shots to administer anesthetic to the skin and the recovery has likewise been painless (and honestly, I'm not at all tough where things like this are concerned). There has also been no swelling or bruising. During the procedure, he was able to distract and calm me by maintaining a conversation throughout, which definitely helped get me out of my head a little and it went by quite quickly. I can't compare, and he certainly goes into all sorts of horror stories ahead of time about what can go wrong and setting expectations for pain and discomfort, and perhaps many do experience this, but for my part, this was very smooth and easy.

Very lucky Dr. Klemann is my physician and helping me with my prostate issues

This man saved my mother's life. He was honest, straight forward, informative, and caring. My mother's surgery went better than expected, and she recovered quickly.

I recently required emergency surgery and Dr Klemann was called in by another surgeon. I found him to be honest and informative while answering all of my questions. He put me at ease during a difficult time. His bedside manner is not perfect but that is not what I was looking for. I wanted a guy who would take care of the entire problem and not have to return to the operating room. That's what I got.

Dr Klemann I could write a book on how great I believe he is. My cancer was so bad and so wide spread he and the oncologist he sent me to started me the started cancer treatments with in 4 days of my first visit. they were afraid to touch me because the cancer was so bad and wide spread. two weeks of kimo they decided they had no other choose but to operate. he then told me and my wife that most people as bad as I was only about 10% make it through surgery and if I made it through, only about 2 or 3 made it past 6 months. My oncologist also agreed with him. I don't care what any body says this guy is the greatest. me and my wife (especially my wife) were absolutely freeked out. His bedside manner his concern for our mental state was unmeasurable. I was really out of for about a week and for the next 3 weeks or so he was there at least 2 time a day, more if I asked to stop by to talk about my concerns no matter what it was. Every thing about my experience with Dr Klemann and all the… people in his office was outstanding. I am not saying that there are not others out there that will do a good job, but I do and always will recommend Dr Klemann

Great personal interaction with me. Spoke in real terms with no super clinical terms that needed to be explained. Could not have been better.
