Dr. Glenda Parker, MD

Outstanding experience. Extremely professional, patient, and informative doctor. She listens extremely well and asks relevant follow up questions to ensure she has an adequate picture of your issues and symptoms. Provides very clear communication and great discussion when offering her medical opinion, feedback, referrals, or conducting tests. You are in great hands and care with Dr. Parker.

Dr. Parker has been my PCP for a few years. While I don't love her, or her staff, I was okay continuing to see her because it was easy. I was recently in a car accident and needed to be seen for a seatbelt injury and was told pretty bluntly through the patient portal that it is against Advent Health policy to see MVA cases. What a sad day it is when patient care is sacrificed for policy. We all know the real reason why they won't see me is money. Needless to say, I won't be a returning patient. Pretty sure I made the right choice after reading the other less than stellar reviews.

Dr. Parker and staff are amazing. From the moment I walked in the door Jasmine greeted me with a warm smile. Then Regina, the Lead MA greeted me with another warm smile when it was time for me to go back for vitals. Needless to say, Dr. Parker was amazing as well. Having just moved here from N.C., I was not looking forward to finding a new PCP but she completely changed that mindset. I have a pretty complex set of health problems that I needed addressed. She was patient, kind, caring and compassionate. Not to mention she was extremely knowledgeable and detailed. I am so thankful that she is my new PCP.

For the sake of future potential patients, I'll say this. This woman is afraid of even the lowest level of controlled substances like lorezepan. She informed me that before I could get a prescription I would need to get a drug test, fill out various forms and so on. This is childish and I've never had to do any of this. Then she informed me that in any event, she couldn't prescribe the drug because she didn't have the expertise to treat me. So why did she even get into the drug testing issue at all? Was it a scare tactic? I worry that she might refuse to prescribe narcotic pain medication for a patient who needed strong pain relief. This could be very harmful.

Dr. Parker, wanted to know why I gave her a "very bad review" like she didnt know the reason and she e-mailed me to get an explanation like I owed her one. So here is my explanation: Dr. Parker you are the worst doctor I have "ever been to in my whole life", you are afraid of prescribing medicine and you are not good at doing that. You took me off meds I have been on for years and have done well with them and you also got "scared to death" to prescribe a medication I needed for my anxiety because it was a controlled substance. So instead of tailoring my medication to my problem the only worry you had was if it was a controlled substance and nothing more. You stay on the computer and "never" make any eye contact with your patients sitting in front of you and you dont even examine them. Please give up your license to practice. All you are good for is giving referrals and copying what other doctors have given their patients. Dont ask me to call you again. I dont want to discuss this with… you and anybody who wants to get my opinion of you it is negative and I will "never" give you a good recommendation. Sorry

This doctor is one of the absolute worst doctors I have ever been to in my entire lifetime. I dont recommend her to anyone. She is scared of her shadow, she has problems prescribing medicine, she cancels tests just because she wants to see you in her office, she says you dont need tests that you do need to have done and overall she is basically useless.

I had such a bad experience I need everyone to know that whoever is writing these good reviews are either friends of hers, accidentally reviewed the wrong Dr. Parker, or were paid. She has no interest in helping anyone. She refused to examine me, refused to give me a second opinion, and kicked me out. THEN she had the nerve to LIE on her notes from the visit. I am going to file every complaint I can until she looses her licence to practice medicine or leaves town! I have never had such a bad experience with anyone in my life. I have never reviewed, or called into complain I have always just moved on. But someone is going to lose their life dealing with her. I AM SERIOUS DO NOT LET YOUR FAMILY COME HERE! Almost 8 years ago my dad was under the care of a "pill mill" doctor and I had no idea because I was too young to understand and had faith that the doctors were doing their best. He died of cancer that was never even treated because the prejudged him and never even looked for his… pain. GLENDA PARKER IS THAT TYPE OF DOCTOR. The difference now is that I am old enough to know not only to never see her again but to warn anyone I can. Please please please, if you are looking for answers and want to LIVE, do not come here. If you decide to anyway, this review will probably eliminate any chance your family has of compensation if you die because I did in fact warn you. STAY AWAY!

I have been a patient of Dr Parkers for a few months now and had several office visits with her. The staff are very helpful, friendly and always return my calls on a timely manner. My impression of Dr Parker is that she is very polite, took her time to listen, ask questions and try to take care of all my medical concerns. She is one of the best Drs that I have had in years. Most of the Dr's I've had in the past didn't really seem to care or really listen to my medical concerns. It seems as if most Dr's now a days are more concerned of the quantity of patients they see than of the quality of their service. And Dr Parker is 100% great quality care. I'm really glad my family recommended her to me.

Friendly staff and same day appointment, I didn't wait long before seeing the doctor

Initially, I was very impressed with Dr. Parker. I even recommended her to a friend. However, after a few visits, I noticed a few issues. First of all, I was always going in for additional followup exams and lab tests. In addition to medication, those copays add up over time, not considering time off from work. Then she 'found' a medical condition I haven't had in years and recommended I see a specialist (in her building). The straw that broke the camel's back was on on my last visit, Dr. Parker accused me of being rude to one of her employees on the phone when she was trying to schedule me to come in for yet another lab test without giving me any information as to why. Never asking my side of the story, I was forced into an apology before she would even care for me. I am thoroughly disappointed in how things turned out. I had high hopes for Dr. Parker. Instead, I feel like the concerns of her employees were put before mine. I'm hundreds of dollars out again, and looking for… another doctor.
