Dr. Glenn Stanton Gart, MD

On 3 different occasions for three different medical status’s Dr Gart has called it right and in one serious situation told me in no uncertain terms what to do THAT day, report back to him and come back to be observed three days later so he could see how I looked. Because of his spot-on diagnosis, responsiveness and availability I sidestepped a potentially serious medical situation for which I will always be grateful. He is very experienced, decisive and wants the best for his patients. He has a great sense of humor which I personally love. He has my complete confidence.

My old dermatologist retired, so I went to Dr. Gart at the recommendation of my primary care doctor. Dr. Gart is good, all of his solutions to my problems are good. He is accurate at diagnosis. He and his staff care about patients.

Dr. Gart is knowledgeable and kind. He doesn't overbook, so you're not waiting for hours in the waiting room. I trust him to know which spots are pre-cancer, and which are not a problem. He cares about his patients and he's excellent.

Met with Dr. Gart for an initial general screening. The exam was the most cursory possible. Although I have a history of skin cancers, Dr. Gart was not at all thorough. He came into the exam room and did not introduce himself. He performed the "exam" without a nurse present. He did not have me undress. While he was in the room, he asked me to remove my top (not my undergarment) and briefly looked. He then asked me to put my top on and take off my pants (again, not undergarment). He looked at my legs and had me put my pants back on. This was quite uncomfortable. He gave no instructions about what to look for. The ENTIRE visit, from entering the exam room to entering my car was 10 minutes! The experience did not at all fit other reviews, nor was it adequate. I do not recommend this doctor.

My problem is a well known problem that has no solution. It is considered the bane of medicine. I have been to 13 doctors over 3 years. Dr Gart is the only doctor that follows me regularly. The others just say "I can't help you". They can't help me and either can Dr. Gart but at least he does tests yearly (use to be more)to see if there are any clues that might arise.

Dr. Gart is just absolutely amazing. I wouldn't trade him for anything. His practice is always very busy, but even with this he seems to remember his patients well and he genuinely cares and listens.
