Summary
In 1985, Dr. Gorab started private practice in his hometown of Clifton. The practice has been in 2 locations within the city. The original location was at 975 Clifton Avenue. In 2005, the practice moved to the new facility at 1439 Broad Street. With construction starting in 2003, the original building was totally redone from inside to out and transformed into a state of the art facility for oral and maxillofacial surgery. In 2006, the construction project received a beautification award from the City of Clifton.
Dr. Gorab is Director of Dentistry and Chairman of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery department of Saint Mary’s Hospital in Passaic, New Jersey. Dr Gorab is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and Board Certified in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is also Board Certified by the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology.
For a second year, Dr Gorab was honored by being named one of New Jersey's top dentists. The Polling Institute at …Monmouth University recently sent ballots to the states licensed practicing dentists and asked them who they would send a loved one to. The results were reviewed and tabulated and resulted in Dr.Gorab being named as one of the states top Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. This is an especially unique honor due to the fact that the voting is done by dental peers.
Dr. Gorab practices all aspects of office based oral and maxillofacial surgery. Yet, his passion lies in the field of bone grafting and implant dentistry. He has been doing surgical implant dentistry since 1987. Having treated thousands of patients with dental implants, he enjoys the ability to restore patients function and esthetics by permanent tooth replacements. He devotes a large amount of time to this special interest and additionally has presented lectures and publishes a newsletter on various topics related to dental implants. Recently, Dr Gorab volunteered his services to Healing the Children Foundation to treat two children who had lost ears in severe burn accidents. After placing implants in the ear area, a snap-on prosthetic ear was constructed for the children. This story was carried by Channel 4 news in New York when Dr Max Gomez interviewed Dr. Gorab about this unique surgery.(Video 1 ) (Video 2) Whether it is implant dentistry or any other aspect of oral and maxillofacial surgery, Dr. Gorab strives to make every patients visit to the office as comfortable as possible.
Married in 1989, Dr. Gorab and his wife Betty have three children, Lauren, Nicholas, and Matthew. The family enjoys tennis, skiing, fishing and traveling together.
