Such a relief to see other people posting the same issues we have had. He told me I was making up a 10 year vitamin D deficiency and it would help if I spent time outside in my yard naked every day. When my bloodwork came back still showing a deficiency he accused me of not taking the D supplement. (I researched it eventually and figured out I needed a different kind of D). I have fibromyalgia and ADHD - on the days my fibro is bad and I barely get out of bed - I don’t take my ADHD meds. Because I wasn’t filling the prescription enough - he accused me of being a speed addict and refused to refill my medicine. After I stopped seeing him - I paid to be properly retested and weird… I STILL have terrible Attention deficit. He called me fat numerous times - told me go lose weight. Fair… when I lost 60 pounds he would barely comment on it and acted suspicious of how I lost any weight. Ugh! My wife also went to him and cannot speak of him without tearing up. He gave her a weird breast exam… in front of me and started to ask if we did that to each other while he was “massaging” her breasts in what appeared to be weirdly sexualized. She hated going to see him and would walk out of there feeling insulted, dismissed and mostly violated. My Mother also went to him and always felt terrible when she left there. She had cancer and he would start many appointments by saying things like “I am surprised you are still alive” …. He would get out his pad and say “ In your condition I am happy to prescribe you anything what do you want?”. I wish someone had the money and motivation to put him out of business. He said multiple times he was just putting in the time until he could financially get out. If you are lucky - you might walk out of there with the weird children's book he wrote about crayons. He is far more interested in himself than being a good ethical doctor. Check out his reviews on google too. Many people have been having the exact same experience.

I have been so pleased with my favorite physician (Dr Lura)for 20 yrs. He's helped me through some tough times. Great bedside manners and truly cares.

Dr. Lura is a fantastic physician who is very thorough, and very knowledgeable in just about every field. He has never made me feel rushed and is very congenial. He is an A+ doctor! Our community is blessed to have him as he ministers to our healthcare needs.

Excellent communicator. Makes you feel like he has all the time in the world just for you. Great bedside manner.

Dr. Lura was knowledgeable, checked the medications and spent time listening and then explaining our concerns. Great.

Dr Lura totally gets it. He its not quick to order antibiotics and he doesn't order unnecessary tests. My first visit with him was an hour. He was very focused on my wellness. When i go to Dr Lura i feel like he really cares. Best doctor i ever had. Great bedside manners.

I do not think I have met a man who could be any more rude then he. I went to him, required by workmen's comp from my job. His first meeting with me led him to believe it was ok to state that I over eat and my weight of my stomach hurt my back. Despite being overweight he proceeded to tell me what i am doing wrong, how I am eating and the lack of activity I have. This man could not be any more wrong about all of it but still felt justified in his approach. 2nd visit ,it was part two of the say Let me give you advice because I know more then you additude. This man heard nothing I said, said his comments and moved on.I told him I was throwing up ,he said it was the medication and he never showed concern ie: stop taking that and just take ... Who the heck is this man!!!

This is a good guy. DeAls with lifestyle not a pill pusher. I highly recommend. I know 4 other people who all recommend him.

Likes: Not a pill pusher like most other Pasco doctors.Tells it like it is, doesn't sugarcoat stuff.Listens to you.Likes to use analogies a lot.Dislikes:Tends to "pre-diagnose" without really looking into the issue.That being said, I like Dr. Lura a lot. Of all the Doctors I've been to in Pasco, he's one of the best. Oh, and he also took care of a friends son for me (he had strep throat) and only charged them $25 for the office visit as I had mentioned to him that that they didn't have a lot of money.
