Dr Summers is an awesome surgeon. He has operated twice on my husband and once on myself and we feel comfortable putting our health in Dr Summers capable hands.

I ended up in the ER at BMC due to a gall balder problem that came on suddenly. Dr Summers was there late with another case and also looked at me for a surgeons review. After he reviewed to dvd from the ultra sound he agreed that I needed surgery now. I was admitted around mid night and had surgery the next day at 1100. I am happy with all he did for me and give him high ratings.

After spending the night in the ER, my husband was released w/ orders to call Dr. Summers, and get an appointment ASAP. I called that morning and spoke to a young lady who informed me, there was no appointment available until the beginning of the following week. When informed of what the ER said, she said she would call back after the Dr. reviewed the results of the ER visit. Within 30 mins she called back, informed us that tho Dr. Summers had a full day of surgery, he wanted to see him between surgeries. Only because he was in surgery, was our wait so long. After seeing my husband, Dr. Summers said my husband needed surgery that day, and he would get him. It was a good thing as my husbands gall bladder had died, and was close to bursting, it was so stopped up and beyond infected. It had in fact DIED. I can not thank Dr. Summer enough. Today we go get the staples out.

Summer's is too quick to diagnose and then recommend radical surgery. Get a second opinion before letting him cut on you. Beware !!!

If you want a doctor to spend enough time with you, then you need to appreciate that he/she is spending enough time with others and you may need to wait.

I saw doctor summer in may, very nice person. The reception people very rude. dr gave me proctofoam and advise if it did not help the pain I should call for a different type of medication. I called last week the receptionist was so rude and nasty to me. I told I would find another doctor. Very nice doctor but he need a new team working the front. When people are in pain and are sick, we do not need people adding to our pain.
