Dr. Glenna R Andersen, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Andersen’s for 27 years. I had lost a pregnancy at five months back in 1994 and when I got pregnant again in 1997, I wanted a fresh start, even though I did not blame my earlier doctor for the loss. When I told Dr. Andersen of this experience, she came around her desk and hugged me tight. She had tears in her eyes. I realized I had been missing this level of closeness and care with my earlier OBGYN. From that day on, I felt personally cared for. She has many patients, yet she makes you feel like you are her most special patient. She is so knowledgeable and has such a level of experience. She never makes you feel rushed; she answers all questions patiently. I have asked for sudden appointments due to my anxiety and fear and I have asked for appointments for my daughter, whom she delivered, and she made time for us. Her office staff is wonderful, always welcoming and very patient with this foreigner! I feel so safe in her care and would recommend her to… every woman, young and old. She is simply the best!

One of the best physicians in the DMV area; She marries the best in clinical skill with a wonderful, confident and caring bedside manner. Amazing person and clinician who provided me with outstanding care.

Listening tonight to the All Things Considered Report on maternal deaths from pre-eclampsia, I was taken back 24 and 20 years ago when Glenna diagnosed the same condition in my case. Her treatment saved my life and that of both of my children. God bless her for recognizing what was happening. My oldest is thru hiking the Appalachian Trail and our youngest is a junior at a fabulous university. Thanks to Glenna.

She is the best!!! Dr. Andersen is been my doctor for 13 year and I love her :) She understands whats best for the patient even if you are unsure on whats best for you. She explaines step by step everything she is doing. I don't mind waiting because at the end I know I will have a good visit with her and she will answer any questions I might have.

Dr. Andersen is the best,she is kind and very sweet soft spoken very understanding and professional she treats you like one of the family.I always have a great experience when I go for my appointments and I always recommend her to everyone I just wish she could be my general Doctor not just an gyn.

They are all very caring, genuine, intelligent and capable doctors who I trust wholeheartedly.Dr. Andersen delivered my son. I had some complications during labor and her confidence in her ability to handle my issue made me feel at ease. She always follows up with her patients. Top notch!
