I and both of my children have her as PCP. She is very pleasant and caring doctor. She spends enough time and listens to my concerns.She is a through physician and would address to my concerns. I would recommend her to everyone!

She is pleasant enough when you meet with her, but speeds through the visit while she simultaneously listens and types into her laptop. Meanwhile, follow up care is terrible. I asked for a referral to get a second opinion for a condition that was diagnosed after she sent me for tests. A week later I have yet to receive the paperwork. Meanwhile, I called her office with q's regarding worsening symptoms and the medication she prescribed. She refused to return my call, and had a staff person call me back to tell me that she had given me a referral and that to contact him instead and gave me the referred MD's office number. Of course, since I havn't seen the other Dr. yet (and won't for a minimum of two weeks because they don't have any open appts.) they wouldn't answer my q's either. I was summarily told to go to an emergency room if symptoms persisted. It is this kind of attitude/behavior that leads to E/Rs crowded with non-emergency patients. It certainly doesn't promote any confidence… in a doctor, either. Regardless of her reasons for handling the situation in this way, she is coming across as arrogant and uncaring.

Very thorough, helpful, concerned and caring. I reccomend her to everyone. I have had several health issues lately and Dr. Desai has been wonderful. A great diagnostician she will run through every possible cause of your symptoms and rule out whatever doesn't fit. She makes her patients feel very comfortable and always follows up. I am very happy that she is my primary physician.
