Dr. Pettersson repaired a complex opening in our 22-year-old son's heart in 2015. He prepared us very well for the procedure. His work was life-changing for our son, who had suffered from this condition for several years. It is impossible to overstate how much we appreciate the enormous skill and wonderful care provided by Dr. Pettersson and his team.

Dr Pettersson took on my case when No one else would. He was able to repair a very rare congenital heart defect on me when I was 50 years old. I went to several surgeons prior to going to the Cleveland clinic where i received discouraging news that they didn't know how to repair my defect that by now was rendering me disabled. When I met Dr pettersson he assured me he could help. And that he did!! That was nine years ago and I am so grateful he gave me my life back. I can't say enough wonderful things about this talented, humble kind hearted man with hands of gold. Thanking him every day for giving me a second chance at life!

Dr. Pettersson repaired my aortic valve in 2003 and the repair lasted for 13 years. Four weeks ago Dr. Pettersson successfully reconstructed my ascending aorta including my aortic root and implanted a mechanical valve. He absolutely is a gifted thoracic surgeon.

Doctor pettersson is a top notch, first class surgeon who saved my life while I was dying in the Cleveland Clinic awaiting a double lung transplant and getting sicker by the moment and was almost not accepted as a viable patient. Doctor Pettersson took my case, did the transplant and I have lived for the past 7 years in great health and have been breathing the best I have since my teens. I have lived to 46 thanks to him and the wonderful family who donated their loved one's organs!
