Dr. Govind S Gill

Doesn't have a clue about the thyroid. Ruined my life.

No personality. Wrong diagnosis. Mumbles. Rude office staff.

I am a past patient of Dr. Gill and unfortunately I moved or would still be his patient. He is good at helping with my concerns as well as giving good sound advice. His staff is very easy to work with and prompt at answering all my questions. I would highly recommend Dr.Gill to all my friends and family.

Dr Gill is very mean and rude to his patients ,trats his employees with disrespect,he cares about his medical fees and his own expenses,and he is very unprofessional in his medical practice.

I'm a middle age female, have had a hysterectomy and hypothyrodism. Consequently, I'm overweight so went to Govind for help with my hormones and weight loss concerns. Initially, he said he could help me with medicine for weight loss but wanted to get to know me first. OK. After 8 months, I finally revisited the desire to try meds for weight loss. I tell Govind I exercise 3 - 4 times each week aerobically for 38 - 45 plus press weights for my upper body and feeling very discouraged. He basically lost it and started reading me the riot act about my habits and it's my fault I have a weight problem. Further, there are no meds to help with appetite suppressing or increasing metabolism. He would'nt listen to me that I"m not a big eater and basically was profiling me stating he doesn't need to see blood work; all he needs to do is look at a person. I don't have diabetes or hypertension but struggle with my weight. Govind claims blood tests aren't indicators of overall health. He… went on to say, I need to cut calories significantly to lose weight and not worry about exercising! I was flabbergasted to say the least. I tried to tell him, I eat less now than my younger years, in fact, make much better food choices but he looked at me as if I was not telling the truth. He so much as suggested about middle of the night eating; a thing I've never done in my entire life. In a nutshell, I found him to be not only unwilling to listen carefully and work with a patient but rude and arrogant. I don't recommend.

I went there to go on natural thyroid replacement. He kept telling me that all lab work looked fine. I finally went to another Dr. and they said I was very hypothyroid. It took me 12 months to get back to normal. I don't know what was going on, but it wasn't good for me at all.

struggled for so long, feeling terrible and unable to lose weight. switched from my old endocrinologist to dr gill. what a difference. thanks
