Dr. Carol Elizabeth Miyake, MD

Probably the worst physician I have ever encountered in fifty years. Abysmal interpersonal skills, not suited for patient contact. I spent 25 years as a senior executive on Wall Street overseeing offices in 105 countries so being treated like an idiot was so insulting I just left. Of course, I had stood in a line during Covid for 30 minutes in a dirty, unkempt reception room before I even saw this person. She might be good on a microscope but keep her away from other people; her clinical skills are awful in my opinion.

i don’t recommended this doctor!! neverr!! she can delayed ur treatment long time!! the secretary team are too impolite!! they don’t know to make referrals and anything. Terribleee!!!

This is the worst run doctors office I have ever been to. You cannot trust them to follow up on anything they are supposed to do such as refilling prescriptions, getting prior authorization from insurance co., scheduling tests.

I have been to several doctors in an attempt to treat worsening Hashimoto's disease with no success. Dr. Miyake was the first doctor who understood my symptoms. She spends a considerable amount of time taking a history and talking about symptoms and treatment options. She explains things thoroughly, is compassionate, patient and highly intelligent. Her office staff is friendly and competent.She was recommended by my primary care physician and has an excellent reputation in the local medical community.

horrible made appoints for me for blood work never sent them in made appointment for testing never scheduled follow up was cancelled with no possibale schudele. Horrible horrible i could be daed and my very well be

I agree with the other reviews. Dr. Miyake is not supportive, she not able to establish a patient-doctor rapport, and does not address concerns. I called her office and let her staff know that I was looking for a PCP (she is listed as an internal medicine doctor with a specialty in endocrinology/metabolism by my insurance company). In her office she said she is does not act as an internal medicine doctor anymore and that my insurance probably wouldn't cover this visit since she had nothing to diagnose me with based on her "conversation" with me. My main concern was my weight gain of ~10 lbs per year for 10 years (since giving birth to my daughter) for a total of 100 lbs. She didn't ask about diet or exercise. I volunteered my weight loss efforts - weight watchers, some weight loss apps, plus I exercise for 1 hour a day 5 times per week. She lectured me about how I most likely eat more than I think and am less active than when I was younger. I asked if she would prescribe… phentermine. She told me she does not believe in weight loss medication. She gave me a prescription to get blood work done. I left totally defeated.
