Since graduating from Providence College in 1980, Dr. Gregg Melfi has spent more than 20 years practicing dentistry. He earned a master's degree in physiology from the University of Bridgeport, Connecticut in 1981 and received his DDS degree from NYU College of Dentistry in 1985.
He continues his commitment to education through training courses, such as the CEREC course he completed at the Great Lakes Education Center under the direction of Dr. Mark Morin, the most experienced CEREC dentist in the US. In two years, Dr. Melfi performed more than 1100 CEREC restorations for patients, and he serves as a Patterson Dental CEREC Trainer for his peers.
Through the Academy of Laser Dentistry, Dr. Melfi is certified to perform various laser therapies. He also has certification for oral sedation and nitrous oxide administration. Happily married to Elizabeth, Dr. Melfi has three children, James, Alex, and Christina. When he isn’t at work, he enjoys weight training, professional drum playing, and spending time with his family.
