Dr. Gregory R. Gibbons

Dr Gibbons is very thorough and takes his time to address all of your questions and concerns. He shows compassion and kindness in assessing and treating his patients.

After I went to the trouble of switching my PCM to Dr Gibbons through the Tricare network, where he was listed as accepting patients, I was told that he actually is not. This has now left me without a primary care physician. He should not be in the network if he is not accepting patients. I had went to his offices prior and was not told at the time that he was unavailable. Only when I needed to make an actual appointment was this news broken to me. Very unprofessional.

Dr. Greg is a caring professional. He never rushes an appointment and always shows genuine care for his patients. I highly recommend his practice.

I have been going to Dr. Greg since he began his practice. He is a great doctor who cares about his patients. The nurse ( Tiffany) is wonderful. The nurse before her was not as caring or friendly. I can count on Dr. Greg to tell me all my options when i am sick. Also, he will refer you to a specialist if it is your best interest. One example: I told him that i was adopted and I did not have my family medical history. So, when I turned 40 years old he suggested that I have a colonoscopy instead of waiting to I turned 50. He sent me to another great doctor. He performed the colonoscopy and found one polyps and had it tested. It was on the verge of becoming cancer. If Dr. Greg had not sent me to this other doctor I could have been in really bad shape. Especially, if I waited to I turned 50 to have my colonoscopy. So, If you want a doctor who cares and is kind then Dr. Greg at Gibbons Family Medicine is the doctor you should see.

Nurse was inconsiderate and in a general hurry with blood pressure, questions in regards to illness and urinalysis was not taken. Wait time was extremely long before returning to patient for needed care. Nursing staff has been in need of improvement for some time.

Dr. Greg is one of the most kind and caring doctors my family has ever been to. He is excellent with babies and children. He has a great bedside manner and is easy to talk to. He is also down to earth and offers very good advice on many topics including parentig.

My husband and I have been patients at Gibbons for about 8 years now. We are blessed by the fact that we can only comment on how they handle people who are generally healthy...but we have had a very good experience with Dr. Greg Gibbons, Dr. Elizabeth Gibbons, and the PAs and nurse practitioners in this practice. At one point in time, I did think that the front office staff was somewhat rude (one bad apple, as the saying goes) and I had a somewhat negative experience with an office manager. Cranky people are everywhere in this world, though. In general, I think that you will find this to be a caring and personal office. We are very happy there!

Dr. Greg is a warm, caring doctor that has never given me the feeling that he doesn't have time to listen to my medical problems or concerns.

I left Dr. Gibbons practice about a year ago after dealing with his rude, self absorbed nurse and as stated in other opinions the lack of care shown by the doctor. I called the office on a Friday morning after not having any sleep for 5 nights. I was feeling quite anxious having had no sleep. I think I remember hearing that no sleep is a form of torture? After no sleep for that long I was feeling like a zombie. I spoke with the doctor's self absorbed nurse and she wrote my information down and told me she would get back to me. When calling back, she stated that she had discussed my problem with the doctor and they had decided it would be best for me to see a Psychiatrist, a Neurologist, a Therapist and about 3 other health professionals which I cannot remember. She gave me the phone number for each of these providers. I called the Neurologist first for an appointment and was told that Dr. Gibbons office should know that his office had to make a referral for me and that the… patient was not to make their own appt. Wouldn't you think Dr Gibbons nurse would already know this? After thinking about the call with Dr. Gibbons nurse I became quite angry because in the first place I am not a psychiatric patient in need of a Psychiatrist or a therapist or any of the other specialists they were wanting me to see. Dr. Gibbons simply did not wish to deal with my insomnia and was pushing me on to other doctors. I also resent the fact that Dr. Gibbons did not take the initiative to call me himself with such a extensive list of professionals he wished me to see. By not calling me himself, Dr Gibbons showed his lack of compassion as a health care provider. It's one thing to send a patient somewhere else for something such as Physical Therapy but when you are recommending Psychiatric involvement you would think he would be compassionate enough to call the patient himself. Instead he left it to his incompetent nurse who is a rude airhead. This practice should be avoided at all costs if you want a caring, compassionate doctor and staff. Run, don't walk from this practice.

This office has some issues with staff. One fella named Key had such problems weighing our baby, that a serious health problem was not realized until a visit to the ER which could have been life threatening. However, we still liked Dr. Greg and so we continued to go there and switched to our daughter to see a peds NP on staff. When they asked the Peds NP to leave, we followed her for our daughter. However, the office staff was unable to send records for three weeks and when they finally did her vacinations were missing. We were going to Europe for a month the next week. When I called their office manager to get the entire set sent over after faxing, calling and the new office called and faxed my request again, the complete records were sent over after our visit to the peds NP at her new place which resulted in us having to go back since the vaccinations were sent late. However, upon our return from Europe, we received a certified letter from Dr. Greg's wife and partner, Dr.… Elizabeth, that my husband and I were no longer allowed to go back to Dr. Greg's practise due to "therputic reasons" or what I can only assume is since we complained about our office staff botching the sending of our daughter's records to the new place. No apologies about screwing up the records. I called staff about the letter and Dr. Greg will not respond to patients and I was told that Dr. Elizbeth is the president. We both had gone to Dr. Elizabeth and found her to bedside manner to be lacking and so we always went to Dr. Greg who we both adored. So, I share this in hopes that you make an informed decision before joining a practise that treats it's patients with contempt if they object to them screwing things up. It's probably best that we find a new doctor anyway. If the office staff is so incompetent, who knows how their actions may negatively impact our family in the future.
