He was invited to complete his residency training at their associated hospital, Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas. Achievement of board certification was completed in 1995. Dr. Groshan holds a Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree from Washington University. He also earned a certificate in a research fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at the Parkland Memorial Hospital and for the University’s Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association, the Northeast District Dental Society, and the Florida Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. Groshan …served as the Oral Surgeon for the Jacksonville Cleft lip and Palate Clinic at the Wolfson Children's Hospital from 1998 to 2007. He was the chairman of the department of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery at Wolfson Children's Hospital from 1998 to 2008.
