Was such a pleasure meeting with Dr. Hanker. Aside from a bit of a wait which unfortunately is par for the course these days, he was very nice and did not make me feel rushed at all. I felt as though I could ask anything I wanted to and he would answer it for me which he did.

The worst! He bandaged my arm so tightly after surgery that at 3 a.m. my hand and arm had swelled up and I had to have my wife drive me to emergency so they could re-wrap it correctly. Then he left a stitch in place which became infected. He never apologized for his gaffes because he is the most arrogant man I have ever encountered.

He repaired my hand and wrist with expertise and excellent results. I had a very complicated injury caused by a birth anomally missed by several other doctors.

My 13 year old son broke his forearm in a way that the ER was unable to repair. We were able to get an appointment with Dr. Hanker the very next day and scheduled for surgery two days after. Each office visit was very pleasant. Dr. Hanker was very comforting and thoroughly explained everything at each appointment before and after the surgery.

Leila at front desk, does not follow up with patients paperworks, poor phone skills, poor phone attitude. Bad Bad Bad

Dr. Hanker is a very good surgeon, however, his staff- especially his head nurse Layla, are completely incompetent and unhelpful. the dr. went on an overseas holiday 1 week after my surgery, so he wasn't available to answer any questions and when i asked his office for the name of a referral they refused to give me a name or number and insisted that i would have to go and hire a pain management dr. since they don't help with pain ( i was one week post op with a shattered radius and severed ligament). i didn't feel the post care was adequate since i was not informed as to a time table of recovery and all questions were directed to the PT. In fact, i was mislead to believe that i only needed 2 visits to pt when in fact the PT wanted to see me 2x a week for 2 months ( paying$ 90 a visit out of pocket).all in all dr. hanker is a good surgeon, very kind when you see him but not the best at explaining what to expect post op (i was told that i would have my hand back in 2 weeks- and while i… did have a free hand (no cast i opted for the 4 pins and metal plate) i had 0 mobility for almost 2 full weeks and now im at about 40 nearly 2 months later. As for the staff- they are the worst and i cannot stress this enough. when i called for a refill on pain pills i was made to feel like a drug addict and told to take "alieve" after a major surgery... i write this review not in spite, but to educate the individual- since i chose the dr. based on his patient reviews.
