Dr. Gregory Wayne Hanson, MD

Dr. Hanson saw me and decided that a lack being able to sleep was just something holistic cures could easily fix, even though I've been trying them for weeks to no avail. He then sent me out to do extra labwork and see a specialist, which will take time - especially since this appointment took two weeks to set up. I won't be going back or doing any of his tests since he treated me so rudely in the office, insinuating that I was a 'drug chaser' with coded language and his tone. He was absolutely rude and disinterested and immediately shut me off and wouldn't answer questions or discuss any other options after he had decided that low iron was my issue, even though I've already gotten checked and I am not anemic. His office won't do any of the legwork to have the papers sent over, and my old doctor retired earlier this year and I don't know who to even contact for those records - no matter, he was an absolute waste of time and money on my part and had absolutely zero empathy. Good luck to… any new patients that care to see the doctor over anything aside from a flu shot in actually getting anything resolved with your issue in any decent time frame or relatively inexpensively.

Dr. Hanson is a very good doctor. He takes time to listen. He's very thorough and he uses all resources to help make the best decisions. He is straight forward, which I Iike. No guessing. If you want a doctor who knows what he doing, listens, explains and cares about his patients - Dr. Hanson is your doctor. He's great and so is his staff!

I was referred to Dr. Hanson by friends who are long term patients. His pragmatic approach is not for everyone, as he is not going to be prescribing medications without a lot of thought first. He's highly analytical, which I want in an internist. I have walked away from the office with real world applicable treatment protocols and plans that work for my lifestyle. His staff is small, just two people, but both of the women are detailed oriented and friendly. Appointments never feel rushed and he takes the time to actually review charts and write out recommendations himself. After many years of a pleasant and totally ineffective PCP I am relieved to now be working with Dr. Hanson and his staff.

I had a check up today with Dr Hanson and like normal he was totally prepared having reviewed my charts and any other info from specialists that had arrived since my last visit. We discussed mutual concerns and he explained issues of which I needed to be aware. This guy is just excellent. Dr John Quincy

I've been seeing Dr Hanson for several years and his care and professionalism continue to amaze me. As many of us have been caught in the bind between a boutique practice versus a fast uncaring practice, Dr Hanson has chosen to provide quality and personal care to his patients. Dr. Hanson wasn’t a good match for me. He wanted me to do several outside tests that I felt were extreme for a first time visit Plus he couldn’t do simple blood work in his office. Multiple outside appointments isn’t an option for me, so I decided to move on. Unfortunately my new appointment fell a few weeks after my last prescription refill and Dr. Hanson wouldn’t give me a temporary refill for 2 weeks! I called 3 times and no one returned my call. Unprofessional & unsafe for my blood pressure.

I read many reviews, more negative than positive. Then I decided to make my own judgment. I need a competent Doctor, not a friend, a lover etc,. He is neurotic but not arrogant, coming from a military background. He is detailed-oriented to my health evaluation. Competency in medical diagnosis and treatment is rather rare these days. Dr. Hanson is competently skilled. He may not be perfect in every way. But he explained in good details of the blood tests and made sound judgment/suggestions so I would not have to pull my hair to figure out what has been wrong with my body. He cared enough to suggest helpful medical books to enlarge my knowledge to reach my goal of pain-free living style as much as possible in the old age. If he is wrong, politely tell him so in a most humorous manner if one possibly could. He is mature, educated, responsible enough to take it. We tend to judge others either from within the agonizing prejudice deep in our hearts, or by our inherited-coded DNAs or… whatever it might be in the instantaneous circumstances. Some of these comments are not helpful, negative or positive. Be specific and make own judgment.

Dr appeared VERY agitated and rude ! Medical info on my paper work was very inaccurate.

I was very disappointed and shocked by Dr. Hanson's response when I called him to inform him of my recent visit to the Hospital ER were I was diagnosed and treated for double pneumonia. He stated he did not believe me, wants to see the records, asked what do you want me to do, went on to say this is a rare diagnosis and suggested I find another doctor closer to where I am currently living. The nurses in the ER recommended I contact my personal physician about this incident, and this is the professional response I received, this was so very unexpected. I will take his advice and find another physician right away, for living in this metroplex, one can certainly identify more caring individuals in the health care profession.

I would recommend him to anyone! My family absolutely love him.
