Dr. Gregory Edmund Jeansonne, MD

Jeansonne performed a surgical procedure on my wife to repair a bimalleolar fracture of the left foot. broken fragments of fibula and tibia He replaced fragment to tibia with screws and replaced fragment of the fibula with a clamp. he did not insure proper location of the fragment resulting with the fibula being too long. when he attached the talus (ankle bone) to the fibula tibia joint the fibula (little toe side) was too long therefore the ankle talus (ankle bone) was not properly aligned causing the big toe side to be raised 1/2 inch from the sanding surface. after several o/v for follow-up my wife could not walk due to pain in the ankle. He did not adequately explain the process for correction other than I can fix that. His fix ending up being a fused and completely dysfunctional foot that was misaligned a 2nd time. We went to UTMC to a foot ankle specialist who attempted to twist foot in order to allow the foot to have contact with the standing surface. this did not work and… another surgery was performed which did not work so a 5th surgery was performed installing a rod into the ankle and tibia. this held the foot in position and healing was complete except for the issue with the foot becoming flat when standing. A 6th surgery to repair claw toes was performed. Her foot has drawn up causing high arch and still has claw toes. we are now facing amputation for a prosthesis because this Ortho did not insure proper alignment for the 1st surgery and then instead of analyzing the problem and make the necessary adjustments to the location of the lateral malleolus of the fibula he destroyed the foot by cutting the tibia medial malleolus and the curved portion of the tibia and the ligaments that bind the fibula and tibia to form the outer portion of the ankle joint as well as cutting the dome from the talus (ankle bone). It is now an extremely difficult job to correct this issue. May he break his leg at the ankle and the Ortho that repairs it for him be as incompetent as he is

I would not recommend this doctor to anyone, my husband almost lost his leg because the doctor did not realize that he had staph for months. Horrible experience!!! He still has problems after two years.

He is horrible. He did find work but didn't care about my well being. He lied to me and my wife five times and when I got proof he lied, he would not come back in and sent a nurse in to lie again.

I received excellent care before, during surgery and after. Dr Jeansonne has a wonderful bedside manner, he listens and explains.
