Dr. Gregory William Johnson, MD

Pompous, rude, absolutely no care or concern

We’ve gone to Dr. Johnson for 7 years and absolutely adore him. He’s great with kids, kind, and will explain things so you can understand. Our extended family took our recommendation and now have him as their family doctor as well. He is a fantastic fit for us and we are grateful to have found him and have him as our family doctor.

I had a bad experience in the St Luke clinic in 130 E Boise Ave, Boise, ID 83706. I was diagnosed with Bilateral Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and I was recommended wrist braces. Upon my request of not bulky wrist braces (my previous clinic provided me for free with the standard ones), I got kids’ size ones the doctor and his assistant tried me on and they looked pretty tight. I paied ~$160 for those, even if I complained a few days later. These are the reasons of my complains: 1. Unprofessional receptionist - before leaving, I asked the receptionist the cost of the braces, and I was told I had not to pay, so I assumed they were free (as in my previous clinic); 2. Unprofessional doctor (Dr. Gregory W Johnson) and assistant - they should have known they were too tight for me, and would have caused a block of the blow flow after a few hours of wearing; moreover they should have mentioned the cost, much higher than any similar item on amazon. When I complained with the specialist patient… relation Kara, I couldn’t get my money back or a discount and not even a replacement of the braces with some I could use. In this clinic there was an evident lack of cost transparency and honest desire to meet real customer needs.

Dr. Johnson rubbed my back and made unwanted advances. Unfortunately, my experience with Dr. Johnson has made me wary to see male medical providers in the future. I made a formal complaint, but the St. Lukes believed the doctor's version of events.

I started seeing him quite by accident and I've never regretted it! He's caring, attentive, and does whatever he can to treat his patients, and not by way of running them through a barrage of unnecessary "just in case" tests which I appreciate! He's conservative in a good way. I had two "not so sure yet" visits with him because I was just meeting him as my new doctor. However, the results of those two visits were all it took for me to trust him. After my first visit, I was almost put off he wanted to stop meds my previous doctor prescribed, that I'd been taking for over two years. He was SPOT ON because tests confirmed I did not need them and they were causing me major issues! I have never felt better! My second visit, I wanted him to be more aggressive in diagnosis (because I'm impatient) and he prescribed me meds for a stomach ulcer. I didn't wait long enough. He said 3 days, I came back day 2. I did the barrage of tests he was warned me about and was trying to avoid, paid hundreds… of dollars (eye roll) for no reason because the tests were all negative. The meds he gave me worked, by day 3 JUST as he presumed. Again, he was spot on. I learned after two visits to trust him completely and I haven't been lead astray. He's amazing, funny, kind, and always on time (or early) and I can't imagine ever changing doctors.

I saw Dr. Johnson when my usual doctor was unavailable and am considering changing physicians now. Loved his process. Asked me a lot of questions, reviewed my medicines, asked family history, ran through a litany of possible reasons I was feeling the way I felt, gave physical exam and ruled out each possible explanation based on the exam until he pinpointed the most likely cause of my pain. He then told me what I could do to ease the pain if I felt like I needed it. We discussed what to do if my condition got worse. I really appreciated his thoroughness.

Dr. Johnson is the most patient, gentle doctor we have ever seen! He always takes his time with us and we never feel rushed. His bedside manner is the best. We highly recommend him!

I have several chronic diseases since birth. I have been to many, many doctors. I NEVER wait for Dr. Johnson, his nurse is amazing/funny, Dr. Johnson is intelligent, funny, kind and thorough and I never have spent more than an hour at the clinic. He is by far, the best doctor I've ever been to. Thanks!!!

Dr. Johnson is excellent. He is exceptionally knowledgable and my kids love him!

Dr. Johnson treated both me and my husband and we loved him. He was always kind and attentive and he's got a really good sense of humor. He is not one to immediately prescribe pills for any little issue and I really appreciated that. He would explain several courses of action for any concern I had so I always felt like I had the information I needed and a say in the course of action we took together. After I had my baby he was her doctor too and he was always so gentle and sweet with her. We were so sad to leave him when we moved. We still use him as comparison with new doctors we encounter. Plus, he's crazy good looking and that doesn't hurt! :)
