I was referred to Proliance Bellevue for a 2nd opinion on joint issues. Dr. Komenda was GREAT! Attentive, easy to understand, explained things as needed, and actually looked at me as a human. Very different than my 1st consultation with another facility. It was worth the long trek to Bellevue! Thanks Dr. Komenda and Brody!

Outstanding !! Comfortable to talk with...outstanding Aides, Brian and Amy...gave me adequate information to help me make a decision about what to do. Wish he could make the decision for me, but I am at the middle of the road and will have to decide myself. Will definitely use Dr. Komenda when I do.

Saw Dr Komenda 3 months ago for a Frozen Shoulder & he would NOT do a Small Cortisone shot into the Bursa Sack, which had worked in Minutes for me the 2 times I had it before. The last time was 15 years ago & the 1st was 10 yrs before that. My Wonderful Orthopedic Surgeon Dr Greg Engel, Passed away 13yrs ago in a terrible situation, so I had to find a New Dr. Dr Komenda was irritated with me because I asked questions & was hesitant to do X-rays, but I relented. Dr Komenda told me he would inject the Joint instead of the Bursa Sack because Steroids might cause damage. It had been 15yrs, (I should have left), but I needed Pain Relief & Sleep which I had not had for 3 month. His nurse Amy was his Yes man to everything Dr Komenda was saying which was weird. I finally said OK & Dr Komenda had me lay down & turn my face away. He injected Lidocaine in & immediately Injected something into the Joint & I "lost my breath", He said BREATHE! I can not tell you how much it hurt but it was BAD… & he didn't even let the Lidocaine time to take affect. (I had 3 babies All Natural & 9-10½lbs, & have a very high pain tolerance) Dr Komenda then tells me; It will take 6 months to a year to work & come back in 3 month & Dr Komenda & Nurse Amy left. I left in More Pain then ever & ABSOLUTELY NO INSTRUCTIONS or What To Expect that day or two. At home I was going our of my mind with Severe Pain & almost went to the ER. I called their office & left a message for Nurse Amy to call & that the Pain Was Terrible & left my #...The Morning of the "3rd" Day she left a message for me, No Instructions still. It is 3 months sence that AWFUL appointment & my Frozen Shoulder is So Terrible I can barely move it & Definitely Still NO SLEEP & that makes over 6 Months with maybe 3 hours a night if lucky, my husband can't sleep in bed with me because he needs sleep for His Practice & Patients. I am now seeking help from my previous Orthopedic Surgeons Group which is still around. Am I angry, YOU BET! But, I SHOULD HAVE LEFT WHEN I WAS FEELING THEY WEREN'T FOR ME...!!! He writes the report & says everything went well, No Issues... Then I see that Dr Komenda INJECTED "2" that's "2" Different STERIODS into my SHOULDER JOINT..."2" but wouldn't do what works which is "1" small bit of Cortisone into my Bursa Sack... I suspect he gets paid more for 2 New Steriods then, 1 old Cortisone. Dr Komenda was just awful to me & Hurt me, Badly! EKearney

I visited Dr. Gregory Komenda for a full meniscus root repair. Everyone from my initial visit, to surgery, and now during my after care is phenomenal. Many thanks to the talented Dr. Komenda and to his team: Carlicia (Check in), Amy, Jennifer (Pre op), Dr. Moy (Anesthesia), Misty, Stephanie, Jason (Ops), Eric (Recovery). I was kinda anxious going in as this is my first time having surgery. Everyone worked together to provide a relaxing and easy experience. I also appreciate the follow up calls and further instructions. 10/10!

Dr. Komenda and his team are extremely efficient and caring. I recently underwent an ACL reconstruction surgery on my left knee at the Highlands surgery center and cannot be more thankful for making the right choice. Dr. Komenda, the anaesthesiologist and all the nurses were very kind, patiently answered all my questions and made me comfortable right from check in till check out. I would definitely give a 5 star rating and recommend Dr. Komenda to anyone looking for ortho care In Seattle.

I went back to Dr Komenda for a follow-up appt for my knee. He was pleasant as always and to the point of our next steps. He listened to my concerns and addressed each on how can resolve my pain issues. I appreciate his directness in his resolution.

I had the final appointment for the procedure that Dr Komenda performed. I have been his patient since 2004 when he performed the same procedure on my left knee. 14 years of confidence in Dr Komenda's skills tells it all for anyone seeking help

He is very thorough, gave me a detailed explanation of the procedure, and took the time to answer all of my questions & concerns. I have complete confidence in him performing my medical procedure. Dr Komenda was kind and friendly, yet professional. He explained what the issue was and how he can fix it. The surgery went well and cannot be happier with the result. I would definitely recommend him and his team.
