Dr. Leister is a Great Urologist. Far better than my last Dr. Really glad I changed.

This guy truly has zero respect for people’s time and is completely condescending and rude. After moving an appointment back to allow for more time for my visit I wait an additional 45 minutes only to sit in a room and listen to all the common socializing that is occurring with the nurses about everything but patient care. When asked how I was doing today I reply that I am aggravated. I attempt to explain my busy work schedule, the fact that I work 80+ hours a week and that I can appreciate him being busy and he rocks back on his stool, rolls his eyes and completely dismisses my concern. He had zero desire to simply listen, apologize and move on. He talked over me and made sure he didn’t hear one point I attempted to make about patient care and respect for peoples time. I allow him to explain what needed to be explained and he asked what I would like to do and which point I requested my records so that I could see a different Dr and you guessed it, before I could even finish speaking… he sprung from his chair with his hand extended and says “good let me go get that for you”. Like a child that was just told no to something he wanted he scampers off only to return with a copy of a word doc with a website and instructions on what to read before retuning, Hands it to me and walks Out leaving me sitting there. I ask from down the hall “do I wait here for my records?” And he responds from three doors down “ask someone at the counter”. If you have too many clients to provide the proper respect to each in reference to time and treatment then pump the brakes. Quality not quantity. This office is way too transactional and not enough relational. They make it very hard to communicate and seems to only care about volume of opportunities not the concern for patient health. I have never had these types of challenges with a dr in my life. unfortunately insurance companies requiring the insured see specific people within certain networks will keep them on business but if you have a choice and or could stand a further drive I would certainly recommend going elsewhere. If you are ok with rude disrespectful behavior and being a number not a patient give him a try. I feel the personality and character of a Dr should be a strong focus simply because how do you know if the treatment you receive is above the next so shouldn’t the comfort you have with the individual be something the Dr Should be concerned about ?

Dr. was ok, but was over 2 hrs late to see me. Staff was not pleasant at all, billing dept sent me bills meant for someone else. Wonder who got my information?
