Dr. Gregory Scott Shelton, MD

Dr Shelton took a lot of time with me, asking me lots to questions.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr.Shelton! He is so thorough and understanding. His staff are awesome too! He is great about answering questions, makes sure you feel comfortable, and never rushed through my appointments like other drs.. Loved him! Definitely the doctor you want to deliver your bundle of joy!

Dr. Shelton has been very thorough, professional and helpful. He asks me if I have any questions and follows up as needed. I would recommend him to anyone of my friends.

I would not recommend anyone to Dr. Shelton he completely rushes every time I have had an appointment with him. I have told him on several occasions during my appointments concerns of pain and swelling he has ignored all of my concerns and basically sends me to get lab work done but forgets to go over it during my follow up. I am afraid for him to deliver my baby based on the service I have received.

Dr. Shelton has been my OBGYN for a brief time just for this pregnancy. He always appears to be in a rush, never answers questions and always refers to everything as "well those are things that happen in this trimester" not explanation or educate patient in whatever the problem is. He has ordered labs per my request several times and when your appointment comes he doesn't mention or go over results unless you remind him. Once he told me my glucose levels were elevated and left the room to return with a glucose monitor and hands it to me. Tells me I need to check it 4xs daily and that's it. Didn't explain what should I be looking for as far as ranges or nothing. Then I return on my next visit and he didn't even inquire about by levels as if he either forgot or didn't remember that I was suppose to be checking it. I had to ask him did he want to know. There is a laundry list of issues that has me questioning his competence and patient care skills. I would not refer a patient to him… unless you just want to be weighed and have you stomach measured during your pregnacy. If you have questions or any complications as myself then he is definitely not the Dr.

Great Doctor

I can only say wonderful thing a about Dr. Shelton. He was thorough and courteous at every visit and made sure i felt confident about any decisions being made during the pregnancy. When it came time to deliver the baby, he was so calm and reassuring and it was very clear the nurses and other doctors at The Women's Hospital totally respected and trusted him and his decisions. I felt completely safe and taken care of the entire time. I'll definitely continue to use him as my OBGYN in the future and certainly recommend him.
