Stocks knew the J&J-DuPuy hip prosthetic had been recalled 5 yrs prior to 2008 and he was teaching and speaking for J&J’s DuPuy Prosthetic making a boat load of money. He ruined my life. Lost my job as a flight attendant and my ability to train and compete with horses. I am still disabled and it is Spring of 2022. He kept telling me there was nothing wrong with my hip. He said, “You’ve just never had a hip replacement.” 7.5 weeks later he suddenly without no X-ray and without even looking at my hip or anything he said I didn’t yell loud enough. But he suddenly said we need to do a revision! Amazingly J&J was not responsible after the 7 week mark. My feelings for what this man did to my life are immeasurable.

Dr Stocks has replaced two hips and one knee joint for me over the past six years, including two in 2020. Based on his surgical abilities, bed-side manner and support staff at Fondren Orthopedic, I would give him more than five stars if I could. I'm an active, 63 yr old male experiencing cartilage loss, thus bone-on-bone in the subject joints. By active I mean daily gym workouts, off-road motorcycle riding and elk hunting out West. In fact, it was during a 2014 hunt that I committed to address recent hip pain versus slowing down and living with the pain. I researched my options and gathered trusted recommendations on surgeons. Ultimately Dr Stocks' name rose to the top. He assured me that a full hip replacement with proper re-hab would not change my life style. A big decision, but I trusted his experience. Three joint replacements later, I couldn't be happier. My active life style is unchanged, My outlook and energy level are great. What joint replacements I say!
