Dr. Gregory Joseph Tramuta, MD

One of the best psychiatrists you will find in the entire greater Philadelphia region. He has an incredible understanding of neuroscience and neuropharmocology. He keeps completely up to date on the research. He has a long history with many patients With all that experience and knowledge, he is outstanding at working with you to consider what medications will work with you. And if something is not working, he knows what other options can be tried. He is also one of the only few psychiatrists who can handle very complex psychiatic medical management treatments. And his knowledge of psychiatric disorders is as good as it gets. He knows more than the DMS or the IC codes. His knowledge goes beyond what is in these limited reference books because he as seen it all. He’s not to good at returning calls or texts, but in an emergency or crisis, he is there for you immediately. Once he gets to know you and your reactions to not only different medications but to various medications… combined, he can address a psychiatric medical crisis within hours. And he has an unbelievable knowledge of how different medications work together and can both address the main symptom for which they are prescribed and contribute to helping with other disorders for which they may not be specifically prescribed - he understands the interactions of medications beyond the standard knowledge of most psychiatrists. He is also among the most ethical practictioners I have ever seen. He will not violate doctor-patient confidential at all and is very aware of things that could even possibly lead to such a violation - things other medical professionals would not even consider. He is also eithical in his compliance with the law and he will find a way to meet both standards. I have been working with him since 2006 and he has always been there for me. He is one of my greatest advocates. He has always intervened when necessary with whatever agency or group where I need an official psychiatric opinion and he is completely thourugh in his description and never lies or misleads the truth in his statements. You will not find a more perfect psychiatrist.

I have been seeing Dr. T since 1999. He is phenomenal! He spends plenty of time with me, is extremely perceptive and an excellent Psychopharmicologist. Can't say enough good things about him. He can be a bit difficult to get on the phone, but I have texted him and gotten an answer pretty quickly.

If you have a hard to diagnose, or multiple issues, Dr. T is where you want to go. He was the Director of the Jefferson Hospital Headache center, and is also an excellent psychopharmicologist.

Dr. Tramuta is an excellent Psychiatrist. He can just tell by looking at you what's wrong. I can't say enough good things about him!
