Dr. Gregory J.f. Young, MD

Dr. Young is such a wonderful pediatrician-- he is knowledgeable, pleasant and takes his patients' and their parents' concerns seriously without being too reactionary. I trust his judgement implicitly. It is rare to encounter someone so intelligent, competent and personable. Highly recommend!

My family has worked with Dr Young for 15 years and have become increasingly disillusioned with him as my child's Dr. Several times I have had concerns that were not only ignored but treated with disrespect. For example, my daughter has been sleeping two or three hours in the afternoons, shows depression and anxiety symptoms, has frequent sore throats and occasional low fevers. She is apathetic and although, brilliant, is not inspired. I asked Dr. Young for a complete battery of blood tests including a thyroid and full tick study and he refused. He said she needs a therapist (which she has). He said he saw no reason to be concerned. She has grown over 1.5 inches in the past few weeks and has numerous other symptoms. My child has not had blood tests in several years and this request seemed reasonable and not over the top with these symptoms. I lost total trust and respect this time.

He's really a great doctor. But more for babies. He's a big mansplainer. He was much better when my kid was a newborn. Now that she's 13, he talks down to her... Actually, he didn't even make eye contact with her. Just spoke to me.
