Best doctor ever!

After a car accident damaged my C5 and C6, I was scared I'd live in pain permanently. Rather than just prescribe pain meds, which I did need for a year, he actually sought to fix my problem. After direct botox injections to my cervical spine and several nerve blocking procedures, I was cured. I no longer need painkillers and I haven't had issues since. My treatment ended over five years ago, and I still lack feeling in the nerves surrounding those two vertebrae. I couldn't be more grateful for Dr.Skiba and his wonderful staff.

Sure hope all his Porsche’s are nice and comfy because my back sure isn’t. After getting talked into a neuro-modulator, he put 48 leads in the wrong area. It caused me permanent issues and my muscles spasmed the whole time to the extent my arms were twitching horribly. Then he left town and it cost another $70k to have removed, caused more disk damage along with more arthritis all over my spine. Those injections last at most 4 hours, they make them thousands and don’t set up expectations. Don’t fall for it. Do your research and get 2nd opinions!

'Dr. Skiba's integrity and compassion were great. He solved a severe problem that I had almost immediately. He is very personable and explained everything. His staff is excellent and accessible. I would recommend him to anyone with a painful situation.

Dr. Skiba and his staff were very friendly and accommodating to my needs, during the procedure. I had a PRP procedure performed on me knee, and barely felt a thing! (Well.. not until after the anaesthetic)

I have been in chronic pain for over four years with an injury that most doctors and surgeons had never treated before which lead me through many searches, treatments and surgeries. However, nothing helped until I found Dr. Skiba and his staff. Dr. Skiba's staff is courteous and attentive to my needs whenever I am there so I am never hesitant to call with a question or to make an appointment. Dr. Skiba not only recognized my injury and treated my pain he went on to perform the one and only surgery that gave me relief and hope for my future! I can honestly say this doctor is amazing! Just ask anyone in my family - my entire extended family! We have been through so much in the last few years and when we came to Dr. Skiba and his staff we knew we were in the right place. Even my family doctor said he thought this was the perfect place to go and he has very high standards! I am now able to start managing my pain and lower my pain medication until I won't need it any longer! But once… the day comes that I wont have any more follow up visits that will be a very sad day for me because I am fond of everyone in the office and I will never be able to Thank them enough for giving me and everyone I love our lives back!

I have suffered with pain my entire life with spinal stenosis as I have gotten older the pain has increased and in the last 6 years I have developed cluster headaches. I feel better now than I have in 5 years. Doctor Skiba knows how to treat pain and most important takes the time to listen to what you say and understand your pain and find the best route for treatment. I am not able to have surgery and what I have is not going to go away so pain management is the only course of treatment I have. He is the first doctor I have seen who has been able to make a measurable difference in my pain. He also has a wonderful staff - very caring and competent. I would recommend him to anyone dealing with chronic pain.

At 64 yo, I've seen a pretty complete collection of M.D.'s over the years. Some wer good, a very few were great and a few even became personal friends. I say all this to establish that I know a good Dr. When I see one. My lower back got progressively worse over the last 7 or 8 years and I finally sought out a pain Dr. 2 years a go. While I liked the guy I was going to, his office and admin were a train wreck. It was not unusual to wait an hour or 2. It seemed to me to be a total lack of respect for the patient and caused me to feel that the attitude of the practice toword my well being pretty much sucked. This time, I went online and started reading C. V.'s. After hours of this sort of due diligence, Dr. Skiba basically stood out to me so I made my 1st appt. Dr. Skiba, I found, knew how to run his practice. I didn't even have a chance to sit down... Whisked right into an exam room. He came in, spent time asking me diagnostic ?'s, answered my questions and even brought up a… few points not considered before. I instantly liked the guy. We have progressed quickly and are awaiting final insurance for a pain implant. One last point. Dr. Skiba's assistant and office manager is Jennifer. At a recent time, I was sort of incapacitated and the Dr. Had proscribed a new pain med for me. It needed to be hand carried to the pharmacy due to Fed law. In order to save me from having to go out there, Jennifer actually arranged for a pharmacy they use to pick up the script and deliver the meds without me leaving the house. This was orchestrated perfectly and saved me a great deal of effort. There have been other situations where they have gone out of their way to make my life easier and less painful. Try to find that sort of support from most Physicians today.... Good luck. In summation, of you have pain issues and you're looking for help, this is the guy you want to consult and the practice you should associate with.

i have struggled with terrible pain for over 18years now and have seen well over 100 doctors...until i met dr. skiba......i found hope...if you are hurting then i suggest to go see him...i am sure he can help your pain in some way....
