Dr Marra is an excellent doctor and extremely skilled surgeon. Dr Marra is very thorough with exam and fully explains treatment options with surgery being a last resort if other options fail. Very detail oriented in surgery prep and post op recovery protocol . I have total and complete confidence in Dr. MARRA, his PA Amy his nurse Cheryl and his office staff, all who work great as a team together and quick to respond to any questions. Dr Marra takes time with every patient to ensure he understands their concerns regarding treatment options vs surgical options and typical outcomes that can be expected. Dr. Marra is very kind and caring Physican and I’m grateful for his skill and expertise in giving me a chance at having my life return to much more than extremely functional. :)

We are so grateful to Dr. Marra for top quality service to my 86 years old mother, who suffered from severe shoulder pain secondary to advanced arthritis for many years. We were told by 2 other orthopedic surgeons, that she is too old for this very complicated procedure and that the risks are too high to do it. She lived with daily suffering, poor night sleep and depression until I found Dr. Marra. From the beginning he told us, that most of his shoulder replacement patients are older and even if there is always possibility of complications, this is usually very successful surgery. Recovery takes 3-6 months or more, but there was hope, that my mom could live without pain. We are now 2 weeks post surgery, Dr Marra made it so easy, my mom had very mild pain x 2-3 days, she can sleep now, depression is gone and she looks forward to her life again. Thank you Dr. Marra for encouraging us, giving us hope and new life. Entire process exceeded our expectations 100 times. I am a physician… myself and would recommend Dr. Marra to all of my patients, family and friends.

Dr. Marra does extraordinary work - I'm 4 months post rotator cuff surgery for two torn tendons - I have full range of motion, almost full strength and absolutely no pain. I have no doubt that I'll be fully recovered in 2 more months!

Had arthroscopic surgery 17 yeas ago... doing very well still

Dr. Marra performed a bicep tendonesis in November 2016. During surgery my brachial plexus was damaged causing Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. Dr. Marra mistakenly wrote in my medical record that I had a secondary fall. I never fell or said I fell. Because Dr. Mara errorously reported I fell workers compensation will not pay for any of my medical bills or loss of salary. He has completely jeprodized my workers compensation case. Post surgery results from my arthrogram and nerve test show significantly more damage in my shoulder than pre-surgery. Dr. Marra denies any responsibility and said the radiologist read the MRI incorrectly. Because of Dr. Marra’s shoulder surgery I am in constant extreme pain, unable to work, barely leave my home, receive no workers compensation, have thousands of dollars in medical bills, and limited use of my shoulder, arm and hand. I am begging you not to befall the same fate. Do not see Dr. Marra.

I highly recommend Dr. Marra. If you have shoulder issues, see an orthopedic shoulder specialist.....See Dr. Marra. My rotator cuff repair and recovery has gone well. I had confidence in Dr. Marra as a surgeon before the surgery and was happy with the results, follow visits and the staff. During recovery, you can email Cheryl, his nurse, with questions. This was really convenient for a few minor questions I had. The recovery was more involved than I expected but this was not a result of any problem with the procedure or Dr. Marra. The recovery just takes time and effort (PT) but it's been worth it. I no longer have pain during the day or while sleeping.

Dr. Marra was professional and listened to my issue. He was calm, with a caring demeanor, and took the time to answer my questions. A resident did come in first to do the initial valuation before I saw Dr. Marra, he was also professional. Even though I arrived a few minutes late, I was seen promptly. Parking and check-in was a breeze. I would recommend Dr, Marra to my friends and family members.
