Dr. Guoli Johnston, MD

Dr. Johnston is very impatient, disrespectful and aggressive. She did not provide the necessary information and just gave dismissive responses before rushing me out. She clearly lacks empathy and professionalism. Traumatizing experience -- avoid this OBGYN!!!!! The worst visit with a doctor. There was clear hostility, extreme rudeness, dismissal, and unprofessionalism from the start. She walked in unprepared, hadn't requested, gathered, or reviewed my records in advance, and immediately began blaming me about missing documents & warned that my appointment would be canceled on the spot if I couldn't produce the ultrasound records in that instant. When I tried to discuss my health concerns, she kept cutting me off, saying things like "Don't argue with me," clapping her hands in my face to hush me. She repeatedly threatened to cancel my current & future appointments without any reason and acted as if I didn't deserve to be there at all. In those 15 minutes, she never once listened… properly. Every question I asked—about her suggested surgery, OCPs, or PCOS—was either brushed off or answered with "Just Google it," behaving as if too busy to be there! I received no real medical attention and care, but felt mentally tortured and left the clinic completely shaken!

I had a very difficult experience with Guoli Johnston. She was late about 15mins. And her attitude was rude and un respect. She don’t listen what I tried to explain my concerns but keeping told me off that she don’t have enough time to answer my questions. But she was the one running late for my appointment and as I am the patient, every minute I paid for the consultation. Very hard to understand her English which she doesn’t listening but just keep talking Medical Terminology. However, I never had bad experience with any doctor who has this rude and unprofessional attitude and I will not back to see her for sure. If anyone thinking about Dr.Guoli Johnston, please thinking carefully!

This is the worst possible doctor you can possibly find... Not only she is rude and unprofessional, but also she will keep telling you the fact she is the doctor and you are not so you need to stop asking her questions and let her talk?! Oh she will also tell you how much it is going to cost to see her which is $300. (So insulting that she was trying to imply that we couldn’t afford seeing her)!!! She told us to go back home to see our own doctor since US is VERY EXPENSIVE?! She genuinely doesn’t care about the patient and she doesn’t even has basic respect to her patients! It is really unbelievable for how rude and arrogant she sounds and how much she just wanted to rush you out! Please don’t waste your time and money to see her. Dr. Johnston shouldn’t even be qualify to be a doctor since the only thing she does is to insult her patient.

Guoli Johnston is very rude and arrogant. She is also arbitrary. She doesn’t even know his profession. When I visited her to ask if I can do laparoscopy, she said it is not covered by my insurance. If she knows it is not covered by my insurance, why does she ask me to visit her? Except for asking me to pay for the bill, what does she do? She makes me sick. Actually, when I double check with my insurance , the surgery is covered by my insurance. As an OB, she is so unprofessional. I just experienced a miscarriage, she doesn’t even know the reason but blame all the failure to my egg quality. She don’t even ask how old is my husband. She is not an IVF doctor but she asks me to find donor eggs. I am only 35 years old. Who gives her the right to judge me? She is a really disgusting doctor! Please don’t look for her as your OB. Trust me! Except for She humiliating you, she will do nothing.

My wife and I had a horrible experince with our visit with Dr. Guoli Johnston. Before our appointment day, we filled the health questionnaire online. However, when we arrived at our appointment on-time, we spent the first 20 minutes waiting and answering the same questions on the questionnaire with the nurse (who was nice and patient). Then Dr. Johnston rushed in with 10 minutes left in the appointment, her first words were "I don't have much time", and she started asking the same questions about my wife's health and conditions. Asking the same questions are ok with us, we like that she's confirming; however, her saying that "I don't have much time" makes us feel like she's not detailed and not thorough with the examination, and just wants to quickly finish the exam. She speaks very fast and not clearly at all, and almost everytime we pause to think for a bit (as we're trying to understand her), she starts uttering "quick, we don't have much time". When she started doing hands-on exam,… she was rough and keeps on pushing my wife for response as well. My wife was already not feeling well going in to the appointment, and the doctor's carelessness did not help at all. The doctor kept on telling my wife to relax, but how can anyone relax when the doctor is rushing and pushing? After the exam, she said she'll give my wife 5 minutes to get re-dressed, and she rushed back 2 minutes later and just barge in without asking my wife if she's ready. She started explaining what kind of condition my wife could have and used a medical term that we didn't understand. When we asked her to explain what that term meant, she said "we don't have much time, you can look it up on the Internet yourself". Why do we need to go see a doctor if we can look it up on the Internet? Isn't that what the doctor is for, is to give us correct information instead of us looking at some random websites online? Also, when we asked her the question about the medical term, she responded with "do you understand what I'm saying?" in a rude tone, as if we're stupid or something. At this point we were fed up with her, so we just got up and left without needing to hear anything else from her. Needless to say we won't be returning to Dr. Johnston.
