Dr. Gustave Stephen Igel, MD

He should no longer be practicing. He is rude and cold and does what is in his best interest.

I made my initial appointment with Dr. Igel's office a few weeks ago, and I spoke with his midwife during my appointment. I was pleased with his midwife. I gave them a urine sample per their request and they did not tell me what it was for. A few days later, I got called into the office because they said they had found something in my urine. Although I had not been even drinking coffee, I was worried because my husband had chemo a couple weeks before, and I was worried that somehow I got "contaminated." (I am a paranoid 41 year old pregnant woman!) Although I had plenty of work to get done for my clients, I drove there (45 minutes each way) to find out the results because they would not tell me on the phone. When I got there, they told me that I had illegal substances in my system. I told them "definitely not." It took years for me to get pregnant! I gave them another urine sample. Of course, it came out clear a couple of days later. They asked me to make their next appointment, and I… told them that I was not sure because of my experience. I am have a PhD in chemical engineering and have worked in labs before and I understand how good the typical lab procedures are. What struck me (even as I gave the initial sample) was that there was an unlabeled cup with urine in the bathroom waiting to be picked up (even as I was in the bathroom collecting mine). The procedures seemed sloppy compared with procedures that I am used to and worked with in the past. A week later, the doctor had the audacity to send me a letter saying that he was "discharging me" from his practice. For what - for them messing up?! Unbelievable.

Best doctor and nurse, amazing staff! I recommend him all the time!

I am so blessed and fortunate to have been a Pt of Dr Igel's for 27 of his 28yrs of practice. :) He is the BEST!!!!!! And his office manager, (and wife) Ronnie is top notch!

I trust him with my life.
