Dr. Gustavo Antonio Machicado, MD

I was admitted to the hospital for 8 days due to complications with gallbladder removal surgery. I was seen by Dr. Machiado for additional preceedures I needed while in the hospital. He was great! Very knowledgeable with a wonderful bedside manner and sense of humor. He visited me every day to check on me post surgical procedure. He will be my new G.I. for sure. I have not been seen in his office yet so I can not accurately rate his staff and office, but to avoid bringing Dr. Machiado's rating down, I am rating 5 stars. I plan to update this rating after I visit the office.

Walked in to get appt. for colonoscopy and was helped within 10 min. and had time for procedure in 2 days. Extraordinary beside manner, so assuring and caring. Always feel at ease. He did my endoscopy 5 yrs. ago, and nothing has changed, same great care and efficiency. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I had tests done at Northridge Hospital in their GI lab and could not get this so called doctor to read them for over three weeks.After numerous calls, complaints and e-mails to the hospital, he finally read the data. We had to drive 50 miles to pick up the results. I do not trust this doctor one bit so will have another doctor read the data as soon a they receive it from the hospital.

Excellent and extremely thorough doctor. I highly recommend him for a good experience for a colonscopy and all stomach related problems

Very good, caring physician but difficult to get an appointment at times.
