Rude and unprofessional

Dr Martel is a good doctor, though I had my first baby and didnt feel he took the time to make it a good experience. His stafff is not friendly. Plus you have to wait at least an hour to be seen.

He is an excellent Dr. but his front office staff is bad. After waiting 1 hr and 15 min got up and ask what was the delay to my surprise they had forgot about me. Those two girls look lost but sure they ask for payment in advance. I spend 2 1/2 hrs in his office it was bad.

I really love the treatment the Dr. Gustavo Martell provides. He is an awsome doctor. I am really dissappointed in his office policies since I was not able to get an appointment back to see him. Dr. Martell delivered my first baby in 2000. In 2004 I had a high risk pregnancy and he referred me to a different doctor. In 2006 my other pregnancy was also difficult so I had to stay with the other doctor..I have not seen a doctor ever since..I called back to make an appointment and they told me that since I had transferred my care to another doctor their policy was not to accept me back. I was really dissappointed since I really dont want to see another doctor and never wanted. I just think that this "policy" only lets us know that this office DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS. Obviously they have enough money to be rejecting patients for any dumb reason. I wish doctor Martell was who he used to be. I think he is great but that incident just made me realize that there is no… reason for me to recommend him since as great of a doctor as he is, he and/or his staff don't care about his patients.

This office was avarage first time I went in. Now is a mess! What kind of OBGYN office doesn't call when there is a possitive pregnancy test? What kind of professional office has patients begging for a call to authorize a medication? These are just a few...This office gives the impression of being just interested about money, which is not bad but shouldn't be that obvious! If I were Dr. Martel I will fired all the admin staff! They are rude and have no idea of what they are doing. They continously overcharge me and if I said something they would argue that I was wrong until I got my insurance explanation that actually says they overcharge me. If that wasn't enough, getting your refund takes 8 weeks. That staff is taking advantage of people who don't understand billing processes and they are taking their money away! Moreover, they want to charge you even when your insurance covers 100%. The nursing staff... well... they don't seem to be very happy working there, last time I went there… they were talking and spreading gossips around which I found extremely unproffessional.
