I am writing this review with a heart overflowing with gratitude because Dr. Guven Uzun is, without a single shred of exaggeration, the best doctor I have ever had the privilege of meeting. For years, I suffered from debilitating back pain, a constant, grinding reminder of my decades of hard work as a railroad employee. The physical toll of that job—lifting, twisting, enduring long hours in difficult conditions—had left my spine a mess, and my spirit broken along with it. I was in a fog of pain, unable to enjoy the simplest things in life, and frankly, I was losing hope. Before I found Dr. Uzun, I went through a frustrating and disheartening journey through the medical landscape here in LA. I saw several other doctors, and I have to be honest: my experiences with them were utterly disappointing. They were dismissive, rushed me through appointments like I was just another number on a chart, and offered me nothing but a prescription pad and a shrug. They didn't listen. They didn't seem… to care about the man behind the pain. I felt like a burden, not a patient. What's even more shocking and disturbing is that when I mentioned Dr. Uzun's name to a few of these specialists, they actually slandered him to me. They tried to paint him as somehow unqualified or outside the mainstream, clearly trying to protect their own referral networks and egos. It was a disgusting display of professional jealousy, and it almost cost me my chance at a real recovery. I am so thankful I didn't listen to their petty nonsense. Then, by what felt like a miracle, I went to see Dr. Guven Uzun anyway. From the very first moment I walked into his office, I knew something was different. There was a warmth, a genuine sense of care that I had never felt from a physician before. He sat with me—truly sat with me—and listened to my entire story. He wasn't just looking at an MRI; he was looking at me, a person who was suffering. And then he did what no other doctor could. After a thorough examination, Dr. Uzun diagnosed me with severe lumbar spinal stenosis with bilateral neurogenic claudication. When he said those words, it was like a lightbulb went off. All the vague, nonsensical explanations I had heard before suddenly made sense. He explained exactly what was happening—the narrowing of my spinal canal, how it was compressing the nerves, and why the pain got so much worse when I tried to walk or stand for any length of time. I was absolutely amazed. All these other "top" doctors in LA had missed it completely, and here was Dr. Uzun, explaining it with a precision and clarity that gave me immediate hope. Dr. Uzun’s expertise is simply unparalleled. He is a master of his craft. The treatment plan he devised was comprehensive and thoughtful, addressing not just the symptoms but the root causes of my pain. He didn't just want to mask the problem; he wanted to fix it. Every step of the way, he was encouraging, supportive, and completely invested in my recovery. Today, I am a different man. The chronic, crushing pain that ruled my life has been reduced to a manageable whisper. I can play with my grandkids. I can work in my garden. I can sleep through the night. I have my life back, and I owe every single bit of that to Dr. Guven Uzun. He is not just a brilliant physician; he is a healer in the truest sense of the word. He has hands that can mend and a heart that truly cares. If you are in pain and feeling lost, please, do yourself the greatest favor you possibly can and make an appointment with Dr. Uzun. He is, and always will be, the absolute best. He gave me my life back when no one else could, and for that, I will be eternally, profoundly grateful.

Dr Uzun is outstanding and the staff is very nice. I could not be more pleased to have found such an awesome medical center. I'm thankful I was able to have such wonderful care all inclusive. Highly recommend!!

I went to see Dr Uzun for my back pain after getting his name from my friend . He help back pain and now I am really myself with very little pain - thanks so much

I wish I could write a better review about this place but it is by far the worst clinic I have ever been to! The satff is rude, never call you back when they promise and when you follow up, still they can't help with anything you ask! All you hear is we are busy, you have to come down. And the reason for that is of course, they want to charge you another visit. I have had some treatments here which didn't help me to get better at all so I had to go and see other doctors. But before I gave up, Dr.Uzun insisted on so many unnecessary procedures and convinced me to do them. And in the end, they send me a $2200 bill which I have no idea why, because they are within my newtwork and I am fully insured! HIS OFFICE LIED TO ME SAYING I AM WITHIN THEIR NETWORK and when I try to solve the problem, guess what?!! Again, none of the staff is helping me and they are pushing me around! DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE, YOU GET BURNED !

Dr. Guven Uzun, Neurologist with Beverly Hills Pain Institute & Neurology AND Playa Medical Plaza in Playa Vista, CA is as good as it gets !! Over more than a year, numerous previous doctors only further damaged my spine, rather than treat and repair appropriately. In the first month, Dr. Uzun utilized the latest technology, P-STIM, in order to reduce the pain, suffering and damage done. Next he followed the P-STIM with the latest in technology for laser surgery of my lower lumbar. Now over 2 weeks post surgery, I can already determine he has repaired my spine and I can return to (land and water) physical therapy, in order to strengthen and maintain my physical health. In only 2 months, Dr. Uzun has returned my spine to it's previous health, prior to being assaulted and mistreated last year. Dr. Uzun is a kind, funny, compassionate and gifted doctor utilizing the latest state of the art technology in non-invasive medical procedures.

Having gone to number other docs before I was referred by friends to Dr. Uzun. He immediately diagnosed the condition, radiation neuropathy, and started treatment injections. Dr. Uzun offers many solutions for pain other than just medications, which is what I wanted. I left his office feeling hopeful for my future with my back pain. I walked in there thinking surgery might be my only fix. Dr. Uzun and his assitant shared options for me that were cutting edge and exciting. I am really thankful my doctor referred me to him. I recommend Dr. Uzun as a neurologist and pain specialist. He listened to my problems and made the correct adjustments to make me healthier. He is like Dr. Oz. He does not just preach but he also follows how to be and stay healthy. He has a great personality and will make you feel better. His staff is very professional as well.
