Dr. Guy Lee, MD

Dr. Lee was confident from my initial visit that he could "fix" me. Two weeks post op I can definitively say he did just that! All my pain has disappeared and I have my life back again!! I am so impressed by him and the entire Rothman Facility. I traveled from 2 hours away and would do it again as well as recommend him to anyone I know. He and the entire institution are top notch! I have nothing but praise for him, his staff, and Abington Hospital. I was very apprehensive to have any type of back surgery, but I can honestly say from start to finish my entire encounter with anyone associated with this facility has been streamlined and positive! All this being said, what stands out the most to me is Dr Lee’s ability to just be a nice, “real” person that one can trust.This is a trait you do not find that often, especially in someone as gifted as him!!

I found Dr. Lee through a recommendation that spoke highly of him. I was seen by various drs. Dr. Lee was the first knowledgeable and compassionate dr. I have encountered with my severe arthritic lumbar with two pinched nerves. Best!

After 3 months of experiencing severe pain in my left leg, with no relief using pain medication, physical therapy & an epidural, the pain continued. An MRI indicated my pain was due to a very large disc herniation at L3-L4 & severe central canal stenosis. I was referred to Dr. Guy Lee. Dr. Lee was easy to talk with & very personable. He thoroughly explained in detail the MRI & X_RAY. He recommended Lumbar Laminectomy L3-L4. I was concerned about having surgery at my age, 79. Because I am still quite active & have no other health issues, he gave me the confidence I needed to have the surgery. I am so glad I had the surgery & now able to enjoy an active quality of life again. I strongly recommend Dr. Lee.

Nice guy but not a good surgeon! I had surgery in 2001 to fix a broken fusion(lower spine). He did the surgery and after being being discharged a week later my back was swollen. Back in with 6 days of Ancef/drano it was decided to re-operate and clean it out the MRSA. Forward to 2004 he removed the hardware with no complications. Forward to 2013, same lower back surgery and 4 days after discharge the nurse noticed swelling/drainage. Back to the OR another operation to clean out the MRSA and save my life. 5 surgeries and 2 redo to fix tells me he is toxic to me. I now need another redo and nobody will operate because of Guy Lees' "gift" to me. Good luck if you go under his knife!!!!

My boyfriend got injured at work and received 4 fractures to his spine on a Thursday. He was treated in the hospital ER at Doylestown Hospital and sent home with minimal treatment or info from the ER as he needed to consult a spine specialist. His discharge instructions from the hospital said he would be contacted by Dr. Lee’s office the next day (Friday). No one from this office ever called Friday. They also didn’t call Monday. When we contacted them Monday’s afternoon they tried to tell my boyfriend that the earliest they could fit him in was 2-3 weeks because “a lot of the doctors were going on vacation”. My boyfriend stressed that he was in considerable pain and was having referred pain and concern over numbness and possible nerve damage so he needed to see a specialist ASAP - the receptionist then said she would try to find him an appointment sooner and call back with what was available. She never even bothered to call back. What awful communication and lack of professionalism. I… hope Doylestown hospital does not refer any other people here with any acute/serious spinal injuries. They obviously just don’t care.

Dr. Lee performed a spinal fusion and a laminectomy almost two weeks for my spine. I had intense left side and left leg pain for 10 months due to spinal stenosis. I also had a crushed vertebra which required a spinal fusion. I was very hunched over and unable to stand or walk very far. After the surgery I was able to walk and stand straight. I call it a miracle due to Dr. Lee’s ability’s as a surgeon. I am healing each day and working on walking as exercise. Dr. Lee has a very warm and humble manner. He was always positive and very down to Earth. Thank you Dr. Guy Lee
