Dr. Ozgur Dede, MD

Extremely dismissive and does not listen to your issues. Argues with you instead of trying to actually help. Says “I don’t know” to just about every question. Pretty much told me I was delusional and clearly doesn’t care just wants to get to the next patient. Not at all a compassionate person which in that field you probably want to be. Do not recommend and would never let him actually operate on me. Look for a different surgeon.

Awful communication and overly aggressive in treatment plan. Wanted to immobilize my newborn's legs in a harness for weeks, which two other experienced orthopedists (we got second and third opinions) at AHN Othopedics Institute and Johns Hopkins told us was unnecessary and likely harmful. Dede's orders/plan were communicated via the office staff -- the doctor himself had no time to even give us a call and share his rationale (upon multiple requests) and did not even call the doctor at Hopkins after his staff strong-armed us into getting an "emergency" appointment there since we were out of town (a break in etiquette at which the Hopkins doctor expressed shock). Beware.

Our 4 year old had 100+ degree scoliosis with kyphosis, with an underlying genetic connective tissue disorder..pretty complex.. halo traction was needed. Dr.Dede changed her life, truly unbelievable. Our family will forever be thankful for what he did. His care is unmatched.

Dr. Dede has a great bed side manner. Took a lot of time explaining our son's orthopedic problem. He was our 4th opinion for surgery and our 1st choice to be my son's surgeon. After meeting him, we knew immediately he was the one. Great surgeon. Highly recommend him.

Dr Dede is a very compassionate surgeon which is quite rare in this field. He takes the time to discuss any concerns you may have a truly cares for his patients. highly recommended!!
