Dr Gwen Abeles

Did laser to treat acne scar on face. Left me with a permanent square and the edges actually sunk in. I now have an outline of a square on my face on top of acne scars. Followed up several times and she claimed she’s never seen that before. I went to several other Derms and was told she was too aggressive with the laser and I wasn’t treated correctly. There is no fixing this and I’m devastated.

Terrible. Her office is dirty so I'm amazed that she's so worried about any mess as another reviewer said, and someone in the office has terrible BO. The room stunk. Next, Dr. Ables who I'll call little big bird since she has so many nasty comments about how others look--should look in her own mirror--promised great results from her procedure. Guess what? No results and then she refused to take my calls. Complained again and she was extremely rude to me. I'll never go back. Don't recommend at all and I never leave nasty comments about doctors

Having just waited an hour for visit to my primary care doc, it reinforces the great experience that i had in both my first and follow up visits to Dr Ables’ office. The wait time was just a few minutes both times, the office is pleasant ( although I wish she offered more magazines to read in those few minutes), her staff is pleasant and finally I felt confident that Dr Ables did a complete and thorough exam,, obviously the priority.

Several of my family members have seen Dr Abeles and we all went through the same snake oil racket. Buy my potions and you will be cured! She sells her own line of mediocre products and spends half your visit selling you these overpriced items. ‘You can’t get this anywhere else!’ I literally had to say ‘is there a prescription you can write?’ My one daughter came home with $250 worth of her products and I almost died! I wouldn’t recommend this practice.

The front office is nothing but a coterie ready to rip you off at every opportunity. No explanation or accountability provided either prior to treatment or after it (with respect to cost of treatment). No follow up either to the billing questions. Very poor morals & no consideration for patient cause or reasoning. We did a mistake by providing our credit card prior to treatment as it was charged immediately after the treatment without giving any explanation to the charges. Do not go here - save your $ and go to another dermatologist.

Been seeing her for decades. Recently couldn’t get appointment so I saw Ivana one of Abeles’ staff who caused painful burns and blisters on my face that horrified everyone who saw me. Tried to discuss with Abeles who rudely brushed me off saying not everyone liked her. Like it was a personality problem and not one of professional inadequacy. No accountability. No apology

The staff is rude ! Took them 5 days to call in a prescription. Do not go in you have a medical problem! They just try to sell you lotion and potions!

I highly recommend Dr. Abeles. She is the one doctor I enjoy going to see. I've been going to her for 10 years. She is very caring and compassionate. Wonderful staff too. She takes her time with you, listens and helps you through the process to make you feel at ease. Be it skin conditions or cosmetic, she is the best around. Highly recommend her.

I was very happy with my exam. She seems really attentive to her duties. She had 2 assistants in the room with her recording information and assisting with the exam. The office is really clean. You can tell she has a high end patient base. I would recommend her to others.
