Dr. Herbert Anthony Carter, MD

Dr.Carter Is an great Doctor with years of experience and great bedside manner. I wish he was back in the metro Atlanta area.

If you want a Dr who you can count on to be/maintain consistency look elsewhere! Dr Carter doesn't seem to care about what his patients OR other Dr's patients (when filling in or responding to email or prescription requests) think or feel. He is very biased as to ones age and without looking into ones exams,test results, specialist notes and referrals he makes choices without consulting with the patients. I do not recommend this Dr. If you want someone who listens to your questions and concerns, who does everything they can to find out whats going on and help address it asap, someone you can communicate with when needed....then go elsewhere! I had too because of him.

I think Dr Carter is a very good doctor.

His staff and himself are completely useless. He spent 10 minutes in the room with me (in which 8 of those minutes were spent typing my info on his computer) and then left. Didn't even listen to my symptoms or at least check my pulse!Staff took a full month to mail my lab results, even after 4 requests. Also, I had an extremely hard time getting prescriptions written for diagnostic medications even after my insurance had agreed to the limits. Staff, nurses, and doctor are completely lazy. DO NOT USE HIM IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR HEALTH!

The Dr. appears to be well trained and experienced to diagnose ailments. He recommends areas of concerns, he answers questions posed to him. He is positive, and makes one feels he is recommending the best strategy for their condition.

When I met Dr. Carter, he was definitely a physician that cared about his patients. I could tell he worked with elderly patients and very gentle with them. He give you all of his attention while you are talking. He's attentive, respectful and concern. He takes in as much as he can before he examine you. When done, he simplifies his diagnosis so you are aware of what you said and he found. He he is thorough or you will not get to leave until he knows you are well taken care of. He doesn't rush you and I will always believe he treats all his patients as if they are elderly in a way that he cares to know why you think you need a doctor. He takes you seriously and try and find the best way to help you: even if it means he have to steer you in a certain direction to help you make a life choice that takes you out of your comfort zone. he did it for me and I didn't understand but eventually it proved to be right for me and my health.
