Dr. Hadeel N Kado

TL; DR - If you are looking for a practice that offers ridiculously long wait times, an incredibly rude front office staff, and medical care that will feel rushed, careless and like they have no clue that they’re doing, this is the place for you! Avoid this place. They will see you for 5 minutes after you’ve been waiting loooooong past your scheduled appointment time. Multiple times we’ve waited for over an hour to be seen. This was not an isolated incident as it has happened consistently regardless of when the appt is scheduled (morning, afternoon, etc.). If the care we received was worth it, I don’t think we’d mind waiting but in multiple visits the PA/NP (Nicole?) has been neither thorough nor compassionate. I wasn’t going to leave a review but was truly shocked to see their high rating so felt I owed the community at large a fair warning. Stay away from this practice unless you are looking for a practice that wastes your time and gives you subpar care. There are better places in… the nearby area (Troy, Birmingham) who will value your time and treat you with the compassionate care you deserve. If you are already a patient here, I encourage you to find another practice and potentially look into filing a formal complaint through LARA as well as your insurance company if your “care” was as subpar as ours has been, as I will be looking into. This is absolutely appalling. But at least the front office staff is pleasant! Kidding - they’re incredibly rude and unhelpful - negativity attracts negativity. If you’re a potential patient give them a call and see how helpful they are about your questions or scheduling before you commit to get a taste of what you’ll be dealing with. Then time how long it takes to be seen.

NP Amanda McKay did a great job with my first health exam. She explained everything to me in a very clear manner. She was also kind and friendly. All of the staff was great and friendly – they were helpful, patient and helped with my insurance. I would recommend this place to my family and friends.

Great experience as a first timer. I barely waited to be helped when I checked in. The staff and Dr. Kado were all very friendly and helpful. I especially loved how Dr. Kado really took her time to explain my conditions with me as well as my treatment options. I had a great visit and the doctor’s demeanor has really put me at ease so I highly recommend this clinic.

I have been a patient of Dr. Hadeel Kado for few years and now my 13 year old daughter is also seeing Dr. Kado. I have never seen such a kind, compassionate and thorough doctor. I am extremely pleased with the way she talks to my daughter and of course my daughter. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. If you are looking for a primary care physician, I would highly suggest Dr. Kado. She is extremely nice but moreover she is very thorough with her diagnosis & treatment.

I have been a patient of Dr. Kado for 10 years or more. In respect to my health and wellness, the decision to switch to her practice has been one of the wisest medical choices I have ever made. Not only does she take a personal interest in my physical well being, but she takes the time to fully listen to and understand each of my concerns. I can always rely on a timely returned call, a thorough examination, and thoughtful, detailed answers to each and every question that I may have. The entire staff represents these same qualities---each of them welcoming, knowledgeable, and eager to assist. The care and attention which Dr. Kado warmly administers has become the Gold Standard for me. With a caring heart and a friendly smile, she is laser-focused on the goal of providing respectful, thorough, and professional medical guidance. For each of her patients, this results in comprehensive healthcare that provides a comforting peace of mind and increased quality of life!

I am surprised at some of the comments below. I've been patient, along with my husband and 2 teen kids, of Dr. Kado for several years now and could not be happier with the practice. Very thorough on exams, and takes great care to treat any issues with thoroughness in further needed tests and treatment. I've received calls unexpectedly with test results directly from the doctor when there is a concern, something I've never seen from other doctors. Yes at times the wait is longer, but I'll wait for a great doctor who is in demand rather than subpar medical treatment elsewhere.

LGBT FRIENDS (and possibly allys): Make sure you find a medical provider that explicitly states they are LGBT friendly. Just was peering over my last physical with Dr. Kado and saw the diagnosis of ego dystonic lesbianism. First, these diagnoses have not been advised for use by the APA since 1972. She’s obviously not up to date on current practices. This diagnosis in particular means that I have an “attraction that is at odds with one's idealized self-image, causing anxiety and a desire to change one's orientation or become more comfortable with one's sexual orientation.” This is NOT true nor could she have deduced this from our appointment as we had zero conversation about my sexuality. Let me add: My wife and daughter were with me at this appt.
