Dr Usal saved my life. I was so depressed, having a lot of extra skin that was making me a size xl in shirts and a 12 in super stretchy pants. After my 7lb 1oz skin removal, I am wearing sleek medium dresses, shirts and a size 8 in pants. I have always been heavy and finally lost 50lbs and kept it off for 2 years. When I finally had a consultation with Dr Usal I was discouraged because I didn't think it would be covered by insurance. I couldn't afford plastic surgery, especially with 2 young children at home. Grace, the miracle worker, stopped at nothing to get it covered as much as possible and I went in 4 days before Christmas. Now, 3 months out, I still cry and thank Dr Usal and nurse Maryann for taking such good care of me and giving me my life back. I finally have confidence that I never had before. Thank you so much for all you have done for me and continue to do. Dr Usal, you are a miracle worker and an artist.

Dr. Usal performed my DIEP flap reconstruction in conjunction with a mastectomy of one breast by another surgeon. Throughout the whole process, he and his entire staff and team made my situation easier by explaining my options and the surgery I chose in detail; including pros, cons and a giving me a realistic view of possible outcomes. They helped with scheduling the various tests that were needed to verify my eligibility for the procedure, making sure I was properly prepared and going up to bat with a reluctant insurance company. The advice on after care for the scars has been ongoing and well explained. I'm so glad I chose the path to healing that I did, it was important for me to feel that I had some control over the process and the outcome. Probably if I had to choose one word to describe my experience, it would be "gratitude".

He should NOT be allowed to be a doctor...yes he still practices as you would say! Had surgery with him and ruined my entire life! Spent tens of thousands trying to fix disfigurement and to no avail. Worst decision ever made! Don’t even think to have him have a knife to anything on your face or body! Deep regrets to follow!!

Dr. Usal performed an implant after mastectomy, then a DIEP flap reconstruction after radiation, and a lift on my healthy breast. I am extremely happy with my results and with all the care and treatment I received from Dr. Usal over my years of treatment.

Dr Usal botched my breast reconstruction. He is so full of himself and he can’t back it up with his skills. Run don’t walk away from this doctor.

I accompanied my sister to an office visit/consultation with him. I have never been to a doctor with so little compassion. What does it take to say a kind word to someone who has just received a cancer diagnosis? Other reviews convinced me he is not the one to take care of my sister or any other human being (or sentient being, for that matter). There are plenty of doctors out there. Skip this one!

Only gave him 1 Star because I had to. Full of himself... no feelings for cancer patients... or any patients for that matter. Totally messed up my reconstruction after mastectomy. Do not go to him!!

Spends time with me lecturing me.

I met Dr. Usal in his Paramus office. I was so impressed by him. He explained this complicated btrast reconstruction procedure in detail and answered all our questions meeting me and my husband and daughter. At the hospital he was caring, understanding and attentive. My results are fantastic! I'm a month out of surgery. And no pain and fantastic! ! He is excellent!

My wife,and I are so thankful for Dr. Usal.He made a horrible situation,go away.He and the other Surgoens had a large whole in my left shoulder to fill and reconstruct..As the months have gone by(almost 3) we have seen my shoulder go throuh all the stages of healing.Now I can finally use my arm,and feel human again.
