Dr. Hanna Huey-Jiun Chao, MD

I was very surprised to see any of Dr. Chao’s reviews mention that she was very attentive and that she listened to her patient’s concerns. She cut me off when I would speak and she even rolled her eyes when I was trying to share with her the health issues I have been dealing with. I literally had to call her out on her behavior during my exam so that I could explain my symptoms. All she talked about was her medical background and how highly regarded she is. Apparently all of her medical training failed to teach her how to be an attentive and helpful doctor — she’s just plain rude. I will never go to her again. Horrible experience.

I went to the Walk In Clinic today for vertigo. Dr. Chao provided the exam and diagnosis. She asked good questions and listened to my responses. Dr. Chao is a caring physician.

I need to give a 1 star rating to Dr. Huey-Jiun Chao. She was impatient and rude and had a very hard time listening to me when I was talking. She has an inflated ego making it difficult for her to properly attend to the patient.

Visited her at the North Haven walk-in clinic (which I love- never a wait and receptionists are so nice!). I had found a tiny lump in my neck and was freaking out all day. She came in and immediately her disposition was positive and warm. She was very sweet and took her time, didn't feel rushed at all. She listened to my worries and reassured me. She explained things to me clearly and detailed and I left the office feeling 100x better than when I had walked in. She helped me a lot when I asked if she could refer me to a primary physician since I do not have one since I moved. I thought she would have the receptionist help me but she did it herself and even wrote down phone numbers for doctors. It was so awesome to be with a doctor who isn't rushing you just to get onto the next patient. I wish she could be my primary physician but I believe she only works out of the walk-in clinic and VA hospital :(
