Dr. Hans Schleicher, DDS

Dr. Hans Schleicher is a native Texan, born in Texas City and raised in the Houston area. He began his dentistry practice in 1980 on the Katy Freeway at Campbell Road and continues to serve patients from that location. From the start his aim was to build a unique practice that meets patients’ needs while fostering nurturing, lifelong relationships with individuals and their families; he still personally answers emails and returns calls within 24 hours.

In 2005 Dr. Schleicher turned his focus to dental sleep medicine and today limits his practice to treating sleep-disordered breathing (SDB), obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), and temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMJ). He has completed hundreds of hours of advanced training, is board-credentialed in Dental Sleep Medicine, and works closely with the medical community—especially board-certified sleep physicians—to screen, test, and coordinate care for patients, including those intolerant of CPAP. Through Sleep …Houston he offers oral appliance therapy and other alternatives to CPAP; many patients have jokingly called him “the marriage saver” after improved sleep and quieter snoring restored household peace.

Dr. Schleicher and his wife, June, a registered nurse, have two grown children: a 30-year-old son, Hans Cameron Schleicher DDS, who recently graduated from dental school, and a 26-year-old daughter, Adrian, who graduated from the Moody College of Communication at the University of Texas at Austin in 2017. Outside of dentistry he enjoys playing and collecting guitars, reading, boating, gardening, and traveling.
