Dr Bal cares for not only the physical well-being of his patient but the mental as well.

In hospital for terrible virus. Dr. Bal was kind and attentive. Hard to imagine the couple of poor reviews.

I was never treated so poorly by a medical doctor as I was by this man. I went to the hospital because I was experiencing severe chest pain radiating into my back with shortness of breath, headache and nausea. Since I suffer from an immune disorder and undergo weekly subcutaneous IVHG infusions, I must be proactive with receiving medical treatment. I always provide my complete prior medical history and did so this time. I even told the medical personnel that I had prior history of urinary tract infections and had experienced prior respiratory failure. I was admitted to the hospital by a cardiologist and Dr. Bal was the hospitalist that was initially assigned to my care. After twenty four hours and no improvement of my pain, this callous and disrespectful man told me that I should have dinner and go home! Since I knew that something was wrong and since my pain was still at the same level as when I arrived, I refused to do this and spoke to a charge nurse to voice my complaint.… I was relocated to a new room with a new doctor, who got numerous other specialists on board to help determine what the problem was. After undergoing multiple tests, I was diagnosed as suffering from a 5 cm, type III, paraesophageal hernia with a second hernia pressing up against the hiatal hernia sac and a urinary tract infection. The hernias and UTI were the cause of my pain. Dr. Bal never ordered even a urinalysis. It was a good thing that I refused to leave and obtained a second hospitalist who was willing to delve further into the problem. I remained admitted and had to have IV antibiotics and pain medication. Dr. Ball is rude and uncaring. He should not be allowed to the privilege of practicing medicine. As far as I am concerned, he should hop onto a magic carpet and ride it back to his country of origin.
