Dr. Harriet Lowery Jones, MD

Dr. Harriet Jones is thorough and takes the time to listen and understand what the problem is, and is very kind. She has helped me a great deal with some complex health issues. Thankful for her!

Rude doctor, no bedside manners. Look elsewhere for a doctor.

Jones took the place of my doctor as an internist after he retired. I had seen dr sulser for 23 years. I saw Jones twice and the second appointment was very weird and odd to say the least. Her bedside manner is horrible and she gets agitated very easily. She doesn’t have the patience to be a family doctor. She also got a script wrong for my aunt who also was seeing her. We both had to change doctors.

Dr. Jones was my hospitalist at St. Dominic. She refused to change a medication that was resistant to the infection I had (after being cultured). She was rude to my husband. Brought in her personal stethoscope and used the alcohol foam when exiting the room. She claimed to have training in infectious disease, yet C-diff is highly contagious and the spores are not destroyed by alcohol based products. I never had my own stethoscope in my room. I am CERTAIN the staff and her infected multiple patients with this illness unnecessarily because of their incompetence.

Dr. Jones was put in charge of my wife's care in the hospital for a single morning before being removed as her doctor before her apathy and incompetence opened the hospital to lawsuit. My wife came in to the ER suffering a blood infection originating from her recently put in chemo port. All tests confirmed her condition, she was suffering full body burning agony that left her screaming with a heart rate of 155 along with intractable nausea and vommiting. Dr. Jones REFUSED TO EVEN SEE my wife before she took the liberty of canceling all previously ordered pain medication. My wife's father is a pain management specialist, he is very familiar with the difference between drug seekers and genuine need and suffering. Dr. Jones continued to be a brick wall against any appeal to stop my wife's screams and begging for help, rather she accused her of being "dramatic" and self medicating in a sad attempt to stick by her incompetence. It is entirely reasonable to request that a doctor physically… see their patient or at least provide any sort of evidence before making such rash, traumatizing desicions. St. Dominics redeemed themselves through effective and compassionate care the rest of our stay, but Dr. Jones' actions left scars no hospital can heal.
